queen bodecia, thanks for that point. I'll insert it into the previous post as an edit!
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

So, it's one week since InTheSnow cancelled InTheSnow Live (at least in terms of the standholders being informed). What's changed?
Looking at the home page of InTheSnow, nothing at all - despite the page carrying regular news stories (two new ones from Patrick Thorne today) the link to the show site remains live. The non-existent show is still being promoted to the public, by the organisers, seven days after they cancelled it!
InTheSnow Live tickets are on sale now!!
InTheSnow Live is a brand new ski show coming to the NEC on 25-27 October 2013 providing a fantastic family day out at great value for money.
This could be your last chance to buy tickets for this spectacular non event, before enjoying an equally exciting refund opportunity.
the 'snow camp' rally was meant to be grand stand finishing at Birmingham, and the SSE awards were due to be held there as well, Im assuming all this will switch to Manc, which I doubt we will now be going to.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

The NEC link above now has the content removed, but the Ticket Factory page still features the event (without the link to get the tickets, which is strange).
The organisers, who cancelled the event 12 days ago ...
... are clearly having a laugh. I clicked through to the 'tickets' link, spoke to the Ticket Factory (which is a subsidiary of NEC) and they were aware that the event had been cancelled (despite it being on their page). "I've had an email saying it's cancelled" said the nice lady on the phone.
Then you can post your own questions or snow reports...

We were told - by the organisers themselves - that InTheSnowLive died on 15 August (sudden and tragic death, due to contacting live rail). But InTheSnow ...
Comedy Goldsmith, when I click on the lower link I get a website about kids mini tennis lessons in Buckinghamshire.
Upon reading it I have been suitably inspired to give up life in the mountains and instead spend my winters on the decrepit hard courts in my local park

This is true. I've asked my colleague Clouseau to investigate this ...
Clouseau investigates
... and here is his report:
Quote:
Tennis4KidsInTheSnowLive is obviously a method of teaching children in winter, using snowballs. There is therefore no need for an investigation.

A further overnight report from Clouseau, who has visited Internet House with his sniffer dog 'Avalunch':
Quote:
Zere is nothing surprising ere, whatsoeveur. It eez perfectly normal for snow technology to be applied to racquet sports. Snowballs do not bounce, but zere is no uzzer problem.
I ave deescoveured zat (etc. - continue in Franglais accent) ... the URL tennis4kids.co.uk has the registrant 'InTheSnow', and the domain name was registered on 5 September 2013.
