if your friend is serious about tattoo removal, i am currently using a cream which leaves zero scarring or patches (lazer treatement leaves visible pigmentation scars), it is clinically proven and the best thing on the market for safe, pain free tattoo removal.
she is india and the cream works on dark skin just as well, if its her whole arm a larger amopunt of cream would be needed but its still cheaper than lazer.
www.tattooremovalcream.co.uk
they have a half price sale on that ends very shortly so its well worth buying now
i have not been using mine long and its great, i have noticed the tattoo fading already.
please let her know about the website and at least she can have a look!

prick_with_sticks, thank you for that - she is very serious about it I think, and has always referred to the white pigmentation scarring as the reason doesn't want to go through the removal process, so I will forward her the link and, as you say, she can at least have a look. It is an extensive tattoo. I can't imagine cost would be an issue for her, though, if it really wouldn't harm her skin.
Obviously you might not want to answer this question (it's none of my business) but, if you don't mind me asking, how come you are having a tattoo removed? (please don't say it's because you have "I haert the BNP" tattooed on your forehead and you can't live with the spelling mistake... )

ha ha, i dont mind that question at all,
when i was 18 (ten years ago) i had a black and grey lion on my left upper arm, i have grown since then (i was v skinny and a 'late developer' as my mum would say), so the tattoo have moved quite a lot and distorted slightly, plus i had the words 'power and splendour' around it due to some info i found about the meaning o ym family crest or something (18 year olds think differently!) and i got so sick of people asking me what it meant, so, i went to have it covered up a few years ago, the cover up didnt work due to how dark the lion was, and basically, it turned into a big dark splodge.
i have the rest of my upper arm tattooed and the inside of my biceps so i am removing the dark splodge and i can see results already so i am very happy as i wanted it gone by june (when i get hitched).
then once its gone or faded enough i will once again go under the needle and have my arm finished in lovely colours!
a long process but a learning process!!

how did you know? nothing like a wedding vest, ha ha, i am indeed wearing a shirt but its just 9 months away so it was more of a target in time instead of needing it to be gone for then!
yup, family crest, it was some rubbish on a framed thingy my sister brought back from Australia explaining the origins and meaning of our surname, it means 'he who herds ewes' apparently, so im descended from shepherds! my surname is Yeowart (pronounced ya-wert) btw.
and i know i said im a snob but its more i just dont like chavs and their big hard dogs!

I still love the idea that there are people walking around with Japanese writing permanently inked onto them, that says 'stupid foreigner' or 'I suck walrus cocks' or whatever when they were led to believe it would be some potent Eastern mystical spiritual incantation.

Ironically, if you read that in a mirror it says 'I call upon ancient spirits to fortify my soul'.

Yes. Exactly.
It's the ultimate pathos.
Someone attempts to make some kind of pompous grandiose permanent statement, and ends up with a humiliating scrawl about ladies' fanny leakage across their neck, that frankly looks like a shivering Michael J Fox did it with a hot ballpoint pen, and which in turn probably gives them cancer.

Well Kooky got her 13 snowflakes and I got the three Dachstein peaks with a compass containing a snowflake and crossed ice axes over a map of New Zealand finished off by a coiled hemp climbing rope underneath.
I just need one more session to finish off the compass and add the chain to it.
