When I read that London2008 was ski instructing in Kitz, I thought he must be a fast learner indeed (until the explanation came later). However, it sounds as though it's all going well (weather was certainly great today)!
Can't think that getting accreditation for the Hahnenkamm will be easy. Try ringing Bernie Ecclestone - he's always there

Up bright and early to take Rikki aka Londoner2008 for his first day on the slopes. The anticipation is almost tangible (pseuds corner). Had another Karaoke night at the Irish bar in town. My Tony Christie is improving. Did a good duet of 'I need a little time' with an Irish lad

The Missus, cheeky. Yesterday was the best so far. The morning was taken up with initiating londoner2008 to the financial haemorrage that is your first day on the slopes. A couple of hours on the nursery slope got his confidence up. The kind donation from a dutch couple at the end of their week meant i covered the north facing off-piste in the afternoon i have uploaded a new photo or two on the link above. I overdid the nightlife mostly in and around club viva in the centrum. I have spent the morning doing all my email and fring on the n95 in the awesome salomon bar at the foot of schutdorf area http://bruendl.at i am off back to the hostel to sort out the car, modify the mdf e.g. Saw off the end of my bed then head to gastein spa

Hey all,
I am interested in coming or meeting up when your out there. I got some experience of roughing it alright (any one who has spent a week in the bunker will know what I mean).
I would take heed of the posting about leaving the engine overnight. The aerodynamics are sometimes used to extract the carbon monoxide away from the vehicle to avoid suffocation. You might want to try using some pipe or other to get the emissions at arms length in some sort of reverse suicide bid.
I also speak Aytay if it is of any help.
Any sort of dates proposed?

champuluc is cool as a meet up, it is a good place to ski I am informed but you have to bear in mind the mont blanc tunnel crossing tarif. I do know someone with a place there but it is a friend of a friends parents chalet. Almost a long shot but not quite. What about some sort of dates so I can try to get an answer for whether we can stay there.
Also they will be Italian hosts which brings up an interesting difference between the way they ski and us:
1) They are all miles better than us.
2) They start skiing at 10:30 stop for a coffee every 15 minutes plus a long lunch.
3) If it starts to get even a tiny bit cloudy they are immediately complaining about the weather!!
All adds up to an interesting cultural experience except for the humiliation involved with 1).
If the freebie accommodation doesn't work out I can always get the train to martigny thus saving the mont blanc tunnel charge and then we could stop in Chamonix in a cheap YH (avoiding ski station if poss). Well the worlds your lobster round there anyhow.

warrell, each will need own url I think. Bloke clearing snow isn't a terribly captivating news story by the way, especially without commentary. We want more action, interviews, pranks, karaoke, mad stuff generally. C'mon, your country is watching your every move.

Great work Warrell and the Missus..this is more like it proper sking by proper skiers non of the one week in luxury hotel nonsense....er sadly like me

I am keeping my fingers crossed that Warrell did not attend the party wearing a bikini, although after the nude sauna experience it may be that a bikini would be an improvement! I notice from one of the video clips that he is keeping up his usual standards and not making the bed! I imagine that by the time he leaves his current accommodation he will have been able to spread his belongings throughout an entire family room! I do miss him.

I think a few nights in and around the dolomites then back through davos to zurich and basle and home. Wozza, Glad it's going well. Just got back from Chamrousse and had a great time. Small resort but loads of powder fell the 2nd day so we spent the entire time playing in the trees between the pistes. Lovely place and virtually empty. Good luck and keep going.

Another couple of links - unfortunately he seems to have failed to switch the sound on for some of his clips! He is interviewing some lovely (and probably rather bemused) people from the Czech Republic people in one of the ones with sound.
Thankfully it looks like he is using sunblock given that his face appears to be liberally smeared with it! On his way to Cortina today having put his car on the train to go through the mountain - only 13 Euros.

Warrell now in Cortina and the weather is apparently perfect with blue skies and plenty of snow. He slept in the car last night with temperatures down to -9 but he seems to have been quite cosy considering.
