And a major project to modernise the Lauterbrunnen-Wengen side of the WAB.
New material (Like on the grindelwald side), trains up to 8 wagons longs, and when needed they can run up to 1 additional train.
It wil move to a much easier to remember half-hourly service, giving good connections with the BOB to/from Interlaken.
From wengen to almend they'll build a 900meter stretch with 2 tracks, and longer stations to accomodate this all.

That trains thing is almost done so far as I know, allmend is much longer now and all the wengen side is fully automatic. Seems dumb they spent all this money on everything when it's all 20% down this year

stab, thanks for the photos, it's good to see what it's like at the moment. I'm making a trip in mid-late December to Wengen and I'm worrying about there not being enough snow! I've not been out that early before!

stevehaskew, from april to november I'm that useless idiot on that ski website, from december to march I can be usefull, when there's snow you can guarantee I'll be shouting about it, until I start work, then I dont care.
I've already been beaten to be the 1st person on lauberhorn this year, someone got some tracks a month ago  No one has done hundschopf yet though.

Chris Brookes, if it's like last year then I'll be off hiking around again, that was by far the best boarding I ever had, 1 run a day, between 2 and 4 hours to get to the top of somewhere, was gutted when they opened the lifts and the great unwashed hit the mountain.
