Other side of the mountain ridge and weather front, different country, same area. Think gondolas in the background makes it easy:

Just looked it up and it was the Strathspey Hotel. Knowing that I can read it on the building. That doesn't seem to exist, but now possibly the Macdonalds Hotel?

Obviously that must have been too easy! Over to you.
Taken from the top of the cable car. You can see the lift below, and on the mountain opposite the lifts back over to Arabba, and extreme left the tops of cable cars coming up from Arabba. Good off-piste run down this side to the dam from those, though often sun-affected.

@albob, yes, so many possibilities. That little stand-up lift is so useful near the dam. Have you skied down far skier's left from the glacier till you get on the scary military road cut in the rock wall, leading down, eventually to the small hotel near the road a couple of miles short of Canazei? Or you can go down extreme skier's left and skin up to the ridge again and over the top, ending in roughly the same place.

Snowball -- No, Purely piste skiing for me ! :: That stand-up lift is no more, decommissioned a couple of years ago....

Ah, how tragic about the stand up lift. When we went 2 years ago it wasn't working. Thought it was temporary. We got towed down the length of the lake by a snowmobile, twice, to get back to the lifts. That makes it difficult to ski the left half of the main Marmolada mountain.

@PROJECT_MANAGER, @Grinning, well its not a model of something/somewhere. It also has a hotel that you can book online. As a point of interest, I visited it in the Baltic in Newcastle a few years ago.
