end of season sales in Wengen ... do they exist, what's the chances of the missus picking up a cheap pair of boots w/c 22/3 ?

Pop down to Lauterbrunnen and visit Crystal Sport (turn left out of the station - about 150 metres walk). Always have some good deals at the end of the season.

Found out about tonights full-moon skiing on the Lauberhorn..... 15 minutes past the last train up....
Organised by Beni of the startbar.

Who will be there ?

Ronald, not me, I don't have anything to do with night time skiing due to being responsible for getting everyone down a few years back and ending up spending 2 hours looking for 2 girls and a sledge around wixi, eventually getting home at 3am. Also I never board with drunk people day or night for the same reason, if they got themsleves into that mess it's not my problem to get them home.

stab, fortunately i'm not going to be responsible for ANY drunk people nor for getting them off the mountain.

What are conditions like on the slopes now - no new snow, 2-3 weeks of busy skiing, and looking like a probability of rain at the end of next week - come on DG Orf, tell us some good news!!!

AdrianV, I'd like to but...
Warm weather with rain mid week, possible very light snow and colder temps at the end of next week, however the following week looks like it might bring more snow to the area in time for the MSB

It's all about murren for me this season, less people, better snow, a park, ice creams, ding dong, race bindings, keep the riff raff out. The only downside is the chair lifts smack you in the back on the way off and fighting through the tourists at winteregg.

AxsMan, I'd suggest a snow dance just to back up my forecast personally, though sacrifices given to the snow gods sometimes work, in my case as Wengen snow God I you are more than welcome to send me offerings of Swiss milk chocolate, cheese and "Spiezer" white wine, I fear the Wengen donuts would be a bit stale by the time I got them

D G Orf, Looking forward to the Wengen donuts when we get there on the 15th.

Arrived in Wengen yesterday and already succumbed to the doughnuts! Runs to village a bit slushy but otherwise not bad conditions

Chris Brookes, pretty much finished. In the morning it's alright but by lunch the sheer number of people here chop it all up. Wixi looks like a bomb hit it. I was too late for murren today but will give it a go tomorrow.
Slightly raining at the moment as well

Hi chaps, I'm in town from Saturday and am bringing some friends too. I want to really show off the place on Sunday, so would really appreciate your advice on which runs are in good nic. Should I head for First, Mannlichen or KS? I know Murren looks good from Stab's photo's but I think that might be a bit of a trek on thier first day.
Any suggestions, and party invitations, warmly welcomed!

Great....I get the picture. I'll do some more snow dancing!
At least the views are good up there, if we can see anything that is, while the sky is covering the hill with white fluffy stuff...oops, dreaming again.
