Brian T, pistes were awesome last time I was up, which was yesterday I think. Hard and fast fast fast. Off piste is officialy crap though but it should snow tomorrow, assuming the Foehn sods off, +8deg C on mannlichen today.

They've told me to warn you to expect bad weather the end of June and the end of August this year

Ok, now as far as I can see, there might be a little snow or just possibly rain Tuesday (perhaps 10cm) warm again Wednesday and Thursday, a tiny bit more snow on Friday (at best 5cm), but a whole heap of the stuff on Sunday it might even exceed Metchecks 40cm forecast

Brian T, don't know but I've still got a high likelyhood of decent snowfall for Sunday and today, a little more snow next week and colder temps also look likely with further light snow at the start of the following week, as always anything beyond 5 days worth of forecast is an educated guess and will almost certainly change over time.
On the bright side your mother in law should genrally have plenty of sunny weather to enjoy her hot chocolates though on Sunday she should probably stay well wrapped up indoors

Looks like snow in Murren, Grindelwald and I guess Wengen as well, might be sleet down in Lauterbrunnen though, road definately looks wet there.

Stab's top 2 places to be in winter.
1. First
2. Schilthorn
It's like a different season over at these 2 spots, if you imagine mannlichen/ KS being early november snow a bit thin on the ground then First/murren is an epic march. Doesn't matter how good I say mannlichen/KS is compared to the other 2 places at the moment it's a waste of time.
First was slightly better but only because it wasn't full of SCGB people talking loudly. Awesome 2 days off.

I arrive in Wengen next Tuesday, looks like I might see much sunshine for three or four days but as we all know forecasting more than two/three days ahead is not to be depended upon.

Finally got up the slopes at 1PM... Arrived u in Wengen like 10:20AM already, but had to drop back down to Lauterbrunnen with a key to pick up my skiclothes/skis/boots.
Slopes are generally better then I left it 3 weeks ago, cept for the racetrack, which tries to pretend to be scottish or something (icy).

Should I go First, Murren or be lazy and just take the cable car up the Männlichen tomorrow?
Training with skischool from monday so will be tied to snowplowing from Wengernalp or something
