kooky, I do exists. Don't I? How frustrating with the house viewers. I'm sure I'll be skiing with Ben next week as his other sock,the man that lives by beer and fags alone, Graham is in town. Night race, well I was there with Ben, on his left foot, but with all that fresh snow we couldn't be doing a late night, though made up for it last night hence the short ski day today. A day off skiing tomorrow, well overdue.

Rozzer alert. Got a speeding fine today, driving back from Salzburg, coming off the autobahn at Radstadt, speed limit drops to 80 on the long exit ramp on a corner, got done doing 96km/h, on the spot 30 euros by credit card. Literally just come out the the 130 zone. Also more fat porkers collecting bonus payments on the road on Altenmarkt on the Zauchanseestrasse. Be careful out there folks. I should of gone skiing instead, doh!

waynos, kooky, he has arrived after enjoying some liquid refreshment at the airport and on the plane. He managed to make it up Altenmarkt and down Radstadt to the bar, then ran out of cash and had to walk back in boots with skis! He does like a long walk though!

great day today but skied like a numpty. recovered my confidence after a great evening in selected bars in flachau.
|
|

skiing has improved marginally. enjoying a fab lunch with eeyore at the sky lounge - free wifi and smoke free.

Had a great day in Muhlbach today. Sky was blue, snow was squeeky. We have skied Muhlbach 3 times now and every time it has made it into my top 10 days of skiing. Piste 1a down to the base station is now my official favourite blue run.

SCollier1, I'm looking at going over to the Hochkönig area as well soon. This, plus espri's accounts have reminded me that it is long over due. Last week it was a no-no because the roads were blocked with snow and fallen trees though.

Skied Bad Hofgastein today, tried out the H1 which is allegedly the longest run round here at about 8km, was a real kick hammering down it first thing this morning, having it all to myself. Must admit my thighs were screaming at the bottom  The pistes were very icy in some places, and there were an awful lot of folk on their backsides, to me it seems much busier this year than the same time last year, anyone else finding this?

Last Thursday I thought Saalbach/Hinterglemm was busier than I expected in January (and wondered how so many young folk weren't in school) but I couldn't swear it was busier than last year. It was smashing weather, though.

holidayloverxx, the igloo is great but dosn´t get going til about 3ish, its on the last run down so if you time it right you can have a drink in there, then go down to the Purzlebaum , and finally Dampfkessel before crawling into your place
I am about all week if you want to join up for a boozy lunch, erm, I mean for a ski 
Skied Großarl and Dorfgastein today with briand6868, had such a great day but the wind was bitter minus 9 but with wind chill it felt like minus 29. Due to get a lot colder in the next few days so anyone coming over, dig out the balaclavas and extra thick thermals. Großarl really is a lovely place to ski, very cruisy wide runs, fantastically prepared, although the home runs were all very icy. Worth a visit if anyone is around, and the Dorfgastein side was very quiet indeed.

Samerberg Sue, we fancied zauchenseeand or flachauwinkel but we can't figure out the bus so if you are up for th at and you think the weather will be ok that would be fab. DIY all done - phew. need to give you the lattenrost back as the slats were too short
