@stanton,
You are in need of some lessons in meteorology.
The warm days ahead are not front related.
After that: "Von Sonntag auf Montag dürfte uns dann vorübergehend eine schwache Kaltfront streifen"
KALT!
10-20 cm snow
@stanton,
You are really providing some poor weather info here.
After the predicted kaltfront with some snow sun-mon it is gonna be fairly cold.
Or are you considering 1-3 C warm (day)?
My 'analysis': If the snow of sun-mon indeed will come, with the very moderate temps afterwards it is starting to look like a White Christmas, with some decent skiing on mostly artificial pistes

@stanton,
Well, you should rethink that, because it is ridiculous.
And maybe stop commenting on the weather, because you clearly are uninformed
And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

when is schongraben safe to ski as in the above video. I thought it was advisable to stay away generally?
You know it makes sense.

@Langerzug, I'm in town hardly uninformed.
Over the years I have fairly good track record on the weather I am sure some folks here will back me up on that.
Your still welcome to your opinion.

You should not go in there alone & certain parts (100-300mtr stretches) you should not stop. Avalanches can relase at anytime (DeathValley)

@Markymark29,
We've been using https://www.taxi-airporttransfer-tirol.com the last few years. Friendly, experienced and accurate
They charge 180 euro for Innsbruck-Lech, whilst Taxi Der Lecher charges 265 euro....
Can usually rent for a week for about £200 - for a couple of people. Cheaper than a return taxi. Budget use Avis desk at Innsbruck for about 70% of the price.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Where is the correlation between "in town" and long term weatherforecast?
I'm waiting for some early hiding murmeltiere and abundant blossoming yellow gentian and other farmers wisdom now.....

@Markymark29, haha if it snows the whole week I'm there, I don't mind!
And if it is a terrible week I must be cursed -
2 weeks in La Rosiere in March 2014 with bad conditions
Whole 2014 season in New Zealand wasn't great
Whole 2015 season in Australia wasn't great...
What may the future hold?!.....

@stanton,
Again wrong information. There are more lifts open. In Lech e.g: Rotschrofen, Schlosskopf, Ubungslift Oberlech.
Although indeed the snowcover is poor, currently more lifts and pistes are open than December 2014, due to lower temperatures, and more artificial snow.
In Lech it is to be expected that -even with unchanged weather- also Hasensprung and Steinmähder, and Hinterwies will open, which would mean the whole Lech-Oberlech area will be open for Christmas.
And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

@Langerzug, do you think he is getting the information off the internet? Or making it up? Regretting supporting him yesterday , I thought this was the one thread he was not wacko on.
So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

@Norrin Radd, No it is @Langerzug, who gets his info from the Internet.
I am here & was quoting the official area's early morning ski bulletin
Schlosskopf & Rotschrofen opened later today sometime after 10:00 not sure why.
Übungshangbahn kiddies lift was already mentioned as open.
You know it makes sense.
You know it makes sense.
@stanton,
Rotschrofen, Schlosskopf and Ubungslift Oberlech where open Monday and Tuesday as well....
Ubungshangbahn (that's Zürs...) has a silly name and a very short stretch, but is an essential lift in the Zürs system (and on this spot was the oldest skilift of Austria, 1937....), and open since Friday....
Stanton needs to put up a better show!

Should be more opening in St Anton over the next few days, I believe the Nassereinbahn is due to open by the weekend, although limited skiing from it. Looked like they are trying to get some sort of a piste sorted from Taps/KK down.

People with experience, do you expect by next Sunday (18th) that there will be a good (loosely used term) amount of piste to ski?
