Crikey! I wonder how much money they spent on that event to get zero return.

Will that improve or be detrimental to their skiing? Discuss.
(Not that she needs to improve of course)

@Rogerdodger, no it was all over facebook

@ster, Bode Miller famously thought it is detrimental. He said so about somebody a few years back while calling a race. After a commercial, he was rather obviously given the opportunity to take it all back. But the truth had already been spoken. His point, with which I agree completely, is that at the top of any heap, a singular focus is required. That said, for this particular couple, I'll go with neutral. The divided focus (bad) will also bring an intimate partner and cheerleader who totally understands the other's situation (good).

@Scooter in Seattle, they’re already in a settled relationship so I would suggest no change for her & he may still be retiring on health grounds.
Congratulations to both of them.

@Gordyjh, looking at his stellar progress on rehab I wouldn't write him off just yet

Interesting that Hirscher is returning to compete as a Dutch athlete. We may get to see him competing against Lucas Braathen who will be Brazilian from next season.

I read this in our local news this morning! It will be interesting to see whether his local/home hill (Annaberg, Dachstein West), race prep a section of the piste for his training….personally, I suspect not
They always used to and I have fond memories watching him race training. Quite awesome. And he always had time to stop between runs sign autographs for the youngsters who’d gather to watch their local hero.

@ster, and ironically the glacier's are probably looking as good as they have for a few years now. We've had snow above 2000m for about 2 or 3 weeks now.

@extremerob, Many thanks
I'll be taking out my usual Eurosport subscription and I'm determined to watch a race live this year. Quite fancy the Slalom in one of the Nordic countries.
