@snowball, yes, lifts for the first bit of uplift but it's a traverse, bootpack, abseil and then a 2-3 hour skin to access. Proper day out
If no-one gets it by 14.35 (ie 24 hours after I posted it) I'll reveal all

Aaaahhhh haven't been concentrating on this thread!
We did the Combe du Riou yonks ago, when I was still snow-boarding and pre days of social-media and the like, though we must have some video of it somewhere?
The run-out on a snowboard to Ailefroide was horrible.
In the summer that valley up to Madame Carle is bonkers busy and quite a tough road bike ride.
In fact just looked at my Strava https://www.strava.com/activities/1794182781 and I took a photo of the Riou looking up to it.
See if this works
When I started skiing again I did the route of the Col des Brouillards, and we often tour up towards Pic Jean Gauthier before the uber steep pitch.

@Weathercam, did that runout last year with a bust binding and the ski held on with a heli-strap. Worked surprisingly well but didn't add to the "fun"

@jedster, it looks great on those plastic 3d maps
it had been on my bucket list for a while but it's not in good nick too often apparently. In powder conditions you get a lot of snow falling in off the cliffs either side. In non-powder conditions you need to time it right because it is S facing and it takes a while to get there from the lifts so super early starts aren't an option, unless you want to tour up from the valley which is 2000m or so of climbing. Our guide has lived round there all his life and had only done it once before IIRC

A very good reason to have brakes (and to carry a heli-strap)!

@Arno, think top left of picture are the Aiguilles de la Saussaz and the Aiguille du Goléon and The plateau d'Emparis in the center so that makes it somewhere off LDA off the Mantel ?

@Arno, we take our favourite guide "Zeb" Roche who did two seasons there when he was younger and newly qualified (his father felt there wasn't enough work in the Haute Maurienne for them both at that time - Things a bit different now more people have discovered it). Last time in Verbier, though, he had broken his leg canyoning (jumped into a pool with a hidden rock) so we had a local Swiss guide, Gilbert.
French guide rates in Euros and a room and board come to about the same as a Swiss guide (or at least they did some years ago when we were last there.)

I'm fairly sure I've skied that twice on day visits from La Grave, but don't know the name. The flatter bit was breakable crust last time.
Unless it was another of your touring routes which looks similar

@Weathercam, not LDA - @Grinning was off by about 50m - if the skier went hard left he'd fall off a cliff into the Cerisier bowl

@Weathercam, you can do but we would have gone over the Col du Sarenne back to the ADH lifts
I'd class the line as semi-classic - it's not in the guidebook but it gets done pretty frequently. The name's on the IGN map of the area

I’m using the Post Image button and all my images are teeny and lo res compared to the original image on my iPad. Any clues how to turn this into a higher res photo?
The photo is a super-easy access double couloir

Looks more like P 1, 2 & 3 at Tignes than Fornet (I imagine you mean to skier's left of the cable car), but there are no trees near P123 so no need to tell me it is wrong.
Grinning you need to put your image somewhere else on the web (such as https://imgur.com ) copy the code (top right of photo on imgur), then add .jpg if it isn't part of the code and put at the end.

@Arno, (your go) & @jbob, you are both correct. NE side from tête de solaise diving down skiers right toward the Laissinant “L” gully. Straight on takes you to the Danaides pitches.
Definitely avalanchey- the hut at the top of the pic is a Catex station and you go under the cables to get into the first couloir but cross before it finishes to the adjacent couloir otherwise the first coloir drops you onto the flat and hard L piste.

I don't think I've skied that.
However for the last one: "skier's left of the Fornet cable car" which I thought BobinCH was saying wasn't far off was it? Just a bit TOO far left. I assume the Lavanchet (sp?) couloir is a bit round the corner to lookers right on the photo?

Short and sweet, don’t know what they’re called either.
Yes, Lavancher is round to skier’s hard left from Danaides but I’ve usually entered Lavancher from the other side (Plan), that’s avalanchey too.
@Arno, never skied that but would love to bounce off those walls
