@DrLawn, you've got it! That is the Spirstock and Chli Sternen.
The area's name is Hoch Ybrig, it's under an hour's drive from Zurich and well worth a visit. The first picture is looking over to the "Skisafari" touring route which goes round all the little lifts in the area.

I'm going mad, I think that could be over by the Pissyarse Glacier above Val D'Isere, or however it's spelled!

Yep, it's the Weissfluh. The photo is taken from outside the restaurant at the top of Blacks 1 and 2. I was told it's a military installation and from a bit of googling it appears to be a radar facility (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FLORAKO). You can just see a white dome poking over the rather strange rocks. From what I've read, most of the facility is buried in the mountain.
