Well got back last night.
Great little break. Did exactly what i expected, early starts, done by two.
Bonus was sunbathing all afternoon as it was very sunny everyday which wasnt the forecast.
Glad it was last week rather than this as i dont think much will last.
Still harvesting snow but no cannons going that i witnessed.
Up high is surprisingly good especially over the Aup de Veran side.

popped out to Morillon yesterday, although not in ski capacity as there is nothing open, but the hum drum of the annual chalet complex AGM......but having not been to Morillon for 11 years forgot just how stunning a place it is.
Blue skies and green grass and snow capped mountains in the distance is visually without parallel.....imho
Not much happening but La Puzze was open and packed inside.......3 course plat du jour 13 euros........maybe higher in season.....but even still tremendous value.....
now just need the kids to be a bit older and the chalet mortgage paid off so the rent less important.....to make it a second home.

I see they are extending all closing dates (exc. Sixt) to match Flaine. First time in my memory and will hopefully be good news.

I don't suppose anybody knows whether there are any new lifts or pistes planned for the GM in 2017/18?
The ClubMed development at Samoens perhaps?
Also, I understand that Tete de Saix has been closed this summer, with a crane visible at the top.

Just come back from a walk up near tete des saix, lanche 3 man chair seems to have vanished, crane and digger seem to be on top of where the arrival was, difficult to tell as I was next to l'airon lake. Walking over to morillon, the lanche lift line had had the pylons removed and a lot of cutting had happened. Lots of activity at the top of sairon, with various bits of digger lying about, there was also a digger working away on the side of cupoire going down to gron. VTT is also much more evident in les carroz than ever before, with lots of gondola cabins attached, where there used to be just a few.
