Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Thanks for covering off the technical bit Jon, I'm not sure my response would have been so detailed
I went to Xscape for a 2 hour session yesterday, for the 1st hour I moved the boots another cm forward and that really did the trick, I found that on the odd occassion when I noticed myself leaning back, the skis were much much more forgiving than on Saturday night (I know this is just a quick fix for now, and I need to work on my body position on the ski a lot more).
With regards to my boot issue, for the second hour I decided to try the specialised battered sports innersoles I have in my running trainers which I've use for my last few marathons as they really helped my running technique and stance.
After wedging them into the boots, my feet immediately felt better, I purposely didn't clamp the boots down too much to see what would happen (just enough to stop the clips rattling). The innersoles push out the inside arches of both my feet slightly so that my legs are parallel to each other rather than a slightly "A" shape stance.
I'm pretty sure (if someone was watching I'm sure they'd disagree!) that I managed a couple of parallel turns without any skidding, which is great, although the ratio of parallel to skid turn is still weighed heavily in favour of the skid at the moment!
I can't believe I forgot to have one of the caramel Kit Kats! There was too much useful information being passed on that I completely forgot about the chocolate!
Thanks again Jon,
Chris
