Yes, but definitely try them on first as the sizing can be different across the range.

I joined this forum mostly to help figure out what gloves to get after the demise of some rather too ordinary ones. I've now spent £ulp on some Hestras. I'll post a review before Christmas if time permits!

Definately Hestra all the way!!!
I actually had a minor problem with pair having owned them for 2/3 years, emailed Hestra HQ (Sweden) asking about the best way to repair them and a couple of emails later was sent a brand new pair FOC. I didn't have the old receipt or anything, they even told me to keep the old pair as they are still completely useable (the problem is only very minor and I only contacted them for advice on how to nip it in the bud so as not to wreck them). The new pair is in storage now until the old pair wears out, which really won't be any time soon. I would not hesitate to buy another pair.
With regards waxing / proofing the gloves I would reccomend this, using the Hestra balm. It only takes 10-15 mins and helps with the water repelling, wear resistance and keeps them v. supple. Whatever you do though, DO NOT dry them on a radiator as this causes any leather gloves to dry and crack!!!
FYI, the pairs I have are the Hestra Ski Cross gloves and I use these with silk liners (mainly as you can easily wash the liners rather than for extra warmth, as I would try to avoid washing the leather too much)

I tried on some in snow and rock today. I quite liked the mittens, but they only had small and large sizes - I needed the large, but the medium might have been OK. In the gloves, the size 7 were a bit snug. The Army ones were far too stiff for my poor arthritic fingers. I don't get mitts with fingers inside though, seems to combine the worst of both worlds.

It was so cold in Tignes last week that I was skiing with 3 pairs of gloves and my hands were still frozen. Cracked at the end of 2nd day and bought the hestra mittens. Lovely and warm, though I still needed my liners. Very impressed with them (TFC not so 'cause he was paying but convinced him they were an anniversary present)

scotia, TGR got there first, but if it's a bandwagon I'm on it. I refuse to buy anything else now, it's always a letdown. Just got some of the new Seths, they're great though run a bit smaller, had to go a size up.
I really like the short cuff gloves over the gauntlets, fwiw.

Have the Seth Morrison Pro Model gloves and can't fault their warmth or comfort. Skied 100 days and still is great condition to.

Ive bought a set of these, think they're the wrong size though as they are very wide around the edge and palm of my hand. I bought them from specialistsocks before christmas and they took 3weeks to come. Customer service wasn't great either trying to rectify the problem, but that may have just been my luck.
Haven't had a chance to wear them skiing yet though, but i can't wait as they're very comfy

Yep, on the shops advice I tried on several pairs of supposedly the same size when I bought mine before I found some that fitted just right. Also ended up with a pair supposedly a size smaller than I normally buy gloves in.

i thought the cool kids all wore kinco work gloves now
backcountry.com used to do an own brand glove which looks almost the same as the hestra skier-x glove and cost me all of $47

it's a pity it seems to be discontinued - they were great gloves

just bought a pair(same as in pic above) in Argentiere over New Years - nice gloves but in the end of the day they are just gloves.
I'd buy the goretex ones, as I find mine are not breathable and as a result retain moisture which cools and freezes your hands if you're not moving for a bit. Also while the black & white may appear stylish, I think it will show tears & blemishes quicker (than say just plain black) and will sure as hell show up any duck tape repairs towards the end of their life cycle. Having said all that I do like them though

I have the 3 finger mitten type and have used them for 4 seasons probably 4 weeks per season and they seem fine.
I have noticed you need to wax them to keep the leather bits nice and also I had to re water proof the tops as my hands were getting wet.
They are alright now though.
I like the fact you can take the liner out and wash it when it pongs too much.
