Grizzlycorns almost make Icelantic graphics look restrained & tasteful. Definitely an all timw winner.

thing is the Grizzlycorns are supposed to be awful; i get the feeling that someone somewhere actually thinks the icelantics are cool, although i'd be surprised if they drag themselves away from world of warcraft often in order to ski

Nice - which size on the DPS?
Need - new goggles. Want - new a/m ski. Something in the 100mm range with regular camber and more than 20m radius. Open to suggestions. |

Arriving soon: HEAD Supershape Titan. Can't wait, couple of weeks time hopefully. |
I thought about them but any ski that says it has a 'Kenetic Energy Recovery System as used in Formula 1' has got to be a bit suspect in my book.
Have you skied on them?

Mantras? 96mm I think. Arno's 105 wailers sound interesting as well.

Isn't that the point of the pisstake? A pop at the arty & hip graphics out there. I think it could be improved if the Grizzlycorn was pointing an Uzi while parachuting from a crashing Blackhawk.

I tried them for 1 run only in Pila. Sold on them instantly. I ski iSupershape normally, the Titans are almost as quick edge to edge, but so much more versatile, being 78mm underfoot.

Now thats what I call a topsheet!
The weird bit is although its a pisstake ON3P are hardly restrained with their standard graphics.

zammo, i got some cheapo G3 skins from REI. only 100mm underfoot and (according to the sizing chart) too short, but they worked fine for me once i had roughed them up a bit
fatbob, agreed (on both counts)

What would be the main difference between them and the Head Peak 78's?

Fifespud, Titan's turn radius is 13.5m @ 170cm, as against 14.6m for the Peak 78. The Peak is a lot softer, more suited to softer conditions, whereas the Titan will grip on hardpack no problem. Think of it as a fat race ski.

I liked the head monsters - I reckon the softer peaks suit me better. The radii are not so different. I am not advanced enough to drive these very stiff skis. Last year after 5 days on the monsters I switched to Magfire 78 ti's. They just felt way too stiff after the Head skis.
Am I talking drivel - are Magfire Ti's stiff or is it my imagination?

Fixed it for you. Mind you, you BASI/Hemel mob don't seem to be far behind in getting paid to ski them
Anything about KERS or even some of that liquidmetal mumbo jumbo brings to mind those stupid LED flashing lights they used to put on K2s. |
We are encouraged to use HEAD equipment at Hemel as they are our rental equipment partners. They sponsor the Instructors with very good deals. Having said that their kit is very good and I'd be happy to ski them irrespective of the deals we get. If I thought they were rubbish I wouldn't use them.
Cuche had the KERS system in his race skis last season, if it didn't work, I'm sure it wouldn't be there.

I guess time will tell if every ski maker ends up with KERS or it fades away like vibration rods, monics, tip blobs, VAS etc that provide superior engineering (or marketing differentiation) to skis.
Not to say Head aren't very good skis even without the BS, I've always been impressed by any I've tried including the rental fodder at Hemel.

So how stiff are the Titans? I think part of my problem with the Elans was they didn't really have the right length so I went short rather than long. I just had to try those lime green beauties.
