Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Have been to the Les Houches Downhill a couple of times. Fantastic atmosphere and a great course. Also went to Kitzbuhel in 2008 and watched all 3 days. The town after the Downhill on Saturday is absolutely rammed and amazing. Spent the night in the casino, slept in the car and then got up to watch the Slalom in the morning.
I was planning on doing the Kitz Downhill with a couple of days skiing then onto the Schladming night slalom this season for my 50th but will now be watching my son TJ at the World Junior champs in Megeve/Chamonix/Les Houches that week. He's aiming for a top 10 in both the Downhill & Super G. It's his last shot at it as he is a senior next season.
Hope to then go and watch plenty of other WC races that he's in over the next few years.

Plugboy
, good luck to TJ - one of our best up and coming skiers - hope to be watching him in the WC in years to come!
Never been to a WC race but hubby and I are def keen on sorting out going to Schladming for the night slalom in the next couple of years... his work schedule permitting
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

It probably is the simplest and is only 4k from the A10... nice and easy!... thats where I'll be leaving from
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

dk100,
Is the Croatian race you're thinking of the one in Zagreb ? I'm sure that rings a bell as being another night-time race with a cracking atmosphere.
