Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

, yes surface lifts can be a pain as a snowboarder, especially when learning. Mind you so can chairlifts due to having one foot unstrapped but over time they become easier, unless it's a particularly vigorous one that picks you up a couple of times.

I imagine that riding a drag on a snowboard (not that I do other than easy ones) would be easier than doing it on a monoboard. But certainly no point doing them when there are alternatives.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Just getting hooked on boarding myself, had first couple of lessons on an indoor slope so to progress a button lift is essential, yes a complete P.I.T.A but essential. After a few attempts and a lot of fumbeling and falling i figured that if you put your heel on the stomp and toe into the snow to stop you sliding back into the que its quite easy to just wedge the button under your butt and shuffle your foot against your rear binding.
If you are regular on a right hand lift or goofy on a left hand lift just position yourself on the inside of the buttons not the usual outside!!

, your signature is exceptionally smutty. Nice work.
I've not tried the 'going the wrong side of the button' idea. I have, however, tried riding a drag lift switch 'just for fun'. I don't recommend this.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

It makes a nice change to try something different.
Never fancied going up a lift on my face though!!!
