Mmmm. I have to say I am impressed with the quality of the humour from our stick carrying brethren. Obviously the presence of boarders on this site has raised the humour bar and you lot are progressing.

Saw a boarder last week grab a skiing mate's poles and zoom down a heavily mogulled, tree-strewn slope, almost straight down the fall-line - pole planting all the way.

Actually skiing has its' roots in gayness as the original term for "colourful" was gay! The magnificent one piece suits that used to look like the inside of a tin of quality street were very "gay".
So technically speaking we are correct. Definately historically. Have they improved by copying boarder fashion???.......to a degree, but the jury is still out.

OK you boarding plonkers.
Skiing is harder to learn, Boarding is easy-peasy and is for any old limp wristed wimp.
Freestyle skiiers are now taking bigger 'air' (if thats what you call it) than thier boarding counterparts.
No disrespect but the fact that Britain has a world cup contender in Miss McKenna makes snowboarding a bit of an obscure sport in my book.
I had a bike when I was a kid and my mate next door had a skateboard, a lot more effort but he could NEVER catch me and I got to the girls before him.
I love boarders, they are a constant source of amusment on the lift systems.

You never see a skier in the half pipe do you? And regardless of how they copy boarders in tricks and stunts they just do not look as good. The "sticks of shame" are always flailing everywhere! They look like a drunken spider!

My point exactly... though technically some of those colours they still sport are extinct. And skiiers like think themselves environmentally friendly
