So nothing too complicated or contrived then, which makes these photos even more impressive. Also shows that you can get great results with minimal kit.

Grimsby Ranger, I have nearly exactly the same view set up as my desktop at work! Mine was taken 2 years ago and is not quite such a dramatic shot with the low clouds as yours!!
No fave photos of this year to post unfortunately as some little scrote nicked my camera in Picadilly, St A. It would have been of my little boy's beaming smile after completing his first "race" aged 4yrs, 3 wks...

mountainaddict, donate some money to the site - you become a super-snowhead and you get a post Pic button at the bottom of every page.
Alternatively, register for the "snowmediazone" (click on snowbase at the top of the page) upload your image there and then cut and paste the code for a thumbnail into your post over here
