Andybabes - apart from La Rascard, I can recommend a place call La Fordze which makes stunning pizzas.

Out of interest, to those who've been there, how well linked are La Rosiere and La Thuile. The piste map looks like there is a two-way drag on the plateau - is that right? We're off to La Rosiere in January, and looking forward to it. We don't mind reds, real blacks, greens or blues, just like skiing.

docsquid, The link from la Ros to la Thuile is via two long parallel drags. Going back is a blue which runs parallel to the drags but fairly distant.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

andybabes, here is the best area piste map, http://ski.larosiere.net/pdf/plan_rosieres.pdf A lovely red No 6 on the LHS and a long dull piste 7 that is the road in summer on the RHS.
docsquid, I have never taken the 2 drags, we always pop of left at the top of the first and play around the Piccolo San Bernado and Fourclaz lifts. Both are high speed quad chairs with covers
Fourclaz will take you over the top to the Les Suches bowl above La Thuile.
