I like FR, been there a couple of times, plus I love La LLagonne, only has 3 slopes but is great for timid skiers or just for a morning as its usualy deserted and the little restaurant serves good food and drink too. When we last went, i think the lift pass for the day was only £6 
Fingers crossed for some low temps as they have tons of snowmaking IIRC...

skinutter, 2100m is nearly high mountain at Font Romeu! Word is that they'll see some snow tonight, but they've postponed the slopes opening for this weekend. Luckily they don't need too much - just some decent cold temps to get the artificial stuff going. I'm due there at Christmas so am suffering the same anxiety!
Must say I don't know La Llagone. I've skied both FR and Les Angles (along with Eyne, Formigueres, Puigmal & Porte), but must have missed that one?

its not far from FR and the views alone are worth it in my opinion. Snow is pretty good and there are a couple of reasonably stiff reds and blacks, thoughit has been a while since i have skied there. La llagonne is tiny yes, we went in december a few years back when we were staying in Andorra La V. and decided to go on spec to Les Angles but when we saw it thought we'd stop there, had a great, lazy day and she was just finding her ski legs so no crowds and reasonable snow was perfect...

I think that's the beauty of that area - there's always a couple of reasonably challenging runs at every station, but plenty of time, space (and usually snow!) to perfect (!) one's skills...
