Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Jungfrau must be in the top ten of tacky tourist traps of the world? you go up in a train you cant see out and arrive into a shopping mall at the top.
Every country has it tourist "must visit" places though.

You stop off on the way through the Eiger and can look down the face (the first time i was there it did anyway, the next time i was there it only stopped at the 2nd one). I thought it was great, after reading many mountaineering books over the years.

Good to get out and go for a wander outside at the top. Don`t need to buy any touristy guff Smile

the town is RAMMED with Asian tourists who shout ‘skiers!!!’ And we have a thousand pictures taken as we walk from the lift to the train station…bonkers

What’s so bonkers? They didn’t expect to see skiers on their tourist destination.

To you, this is routine, but to them it’s not.

I’ve had many picture taken of me kayaking around Manhattan by tourists, from those standing at shore to those on the ferry to the Statue of Liberty, all shouting “kayakers!”! Is that bonkers? Puzzled

Not just Asian tourists, tourists of all nationalities!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Was in La Tzoumaz a few weeks ago and my father (used to ski but has broken his back and ankle skiing in the last two years so was under orders from mother to NOT ski) wanted to meet my son and I for lunch at the top of the hill.

CHF 25 return on the telecabine. More than the lunch cost! So he went to the tourist office and got a season long ski pass for free as he was born in 1946.

Madness.
