Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

The Recovery from Injury Thread - Tales of Hope Please!

I've been to see the doctor man who has reverted back to the Italian diagnosis of MCL damage rather than ACL and suspects a sprain rather than a tear. Two specialists have also dismissed the fragment of bone picked up by the radiologist and expect this to be a 3 month recovery to full(ish) fitness.
Swimming a gentle turbo training are good, running is out for the full three months.

Still awaiting an MRI for full confirmation but judging by the movement and lack of pain I have it's looking promising for a return to activity mid summer. Just in Time for an Italian trip with the bikes!

Thanks @pam w, it was quite a relief to be told I "shouldn't need an op to fix it". I did try and push for a quick MRI but was told the usual - Its not our department...

I have a trip to Paris booked in three weeks so can look forward to that now.

Ask them what law/protocol you are breaching by taking a photo of her own body part.
Aye, if anything EU law at least works the other way.
I asked for and received all my UK GP records under that law.
Hospital clinical records should be similarly accessible, but they're not centrally stored at present so you need to know where they are, and they're going to be in multiple places[1].

That said, I paid for some fancy UK MRI the other month and they cut up nasty when I asked for copies.
I'm not sure if I could legally force them to divulge my own records, or why they'd keep them secret from me.
In the US the patient owns their records, especially when you pay a contractor for them, which is what I was doing there.

[1] Patient identifiable clinical records I mean. The DSCRO contains billing data, not the same thing.
