it would be sensible to have proof of vaccination and a mask available if suddenly required. And travel insurance.

Better not visit New York. Although mask is not required, most people are wearing it in public places. So those not wearing one can get occasional stare at with a dirty look. |
Really? Has it changed recently? I came through in mid-October, JFK, Airtrain, Subway, PATH, couple of bars and two restaurants, our office in Jersey City, Newark airport. Didn’t see any more mask wearing than I do in London (which is not much).

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Everyone is dropping like flies in France at the moment: covid, bronchitus, flu, you name it. I wonder if I'll end up like the Omega man, the only person left working.
Be careful on your ski holidays if you don't want to catch something nasty. |
Noticed more mask wearing out and about this week and the supermarket checkout staff seemed to be discussing who had had the nasty lurgi yet.

Yes, it has changed. A lot more masks are seen on subways and shops. Even in offices. Wasn’t like that 2 months ago.
Probably have something to do with davidof’s comment about people “dropping like flies”. Happening in New York too. Not just Covid, flu too. Keep hearing people I know getting one or some other forms of those bugs. Miserable bugs they all are. Who wants to catch one if one can help avoid it by wearing a mask?
