Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I like the sound of that Very Happy It's kind of difficult to 'plan' for the trip with so many things I would like to do and places I'd like to visit. I'm trying not to be in the mind set of "must go here" or "need to be there on x date" and instead leaving the plan fluid. I definitely have a list in my head of things that I'd like to try though, skiing in powder being one of them if possible.

Thought you were going with @smygusdyngus in which case won't digging for lost skis in powder be your main activity?

@Dave of the Marmottes, not judging by some of the links to videos he's been sending me Shocked He doesn't draw the line at pussywillow Embarassed

Hopefully @smygusdyngus will ask Polish Santa for some resqskis for Christmas.

I only saw one instance of digging for skis last season and it wasn't @smygusdyngus' ski that was missing was it @SnoodlesMcFlude,

@adithorp, when was that? I only remember one time and I didn’t think you were about?

We had at least a couple of times in Alleghe where he clipped out and blamed the skis. Of course the fact that he’s a giant and skis on a DIN of 7 doesn’t come into it.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@SnoodlesMcFlude, Alleghe on the day of heavy snow, on the edge of the nice easy blue... just before you 2 went down the previously closed red with @k, and i went down the black with your old man. @smygusdyngus, and @turdy, helped you find it while we waited at the lift.

@adithorp, oh yeah. That one wasn't too bad, it was the one when it was just me and smygusdyngus that took a while to find.

A lot of different reasons to go skiing in Japan and depending who you are and what you look for.

As a couple I think it should not only be the deep light powder if one is mainly pist-skier.

Other things could be togethetness, food onsen and people beside the skiing.

Language can be a challenge in the not "western" places - but can be overcome if one is a bit adventurous or have some skill.

Many Japanese hotels or other accommodations do not have a lounge to socialise. One eats and goes to ones room and visits the bath to socialise.

Accommodation aimed at foreigners tend to be a bit different but you do loose the Japanese vibe.
