@offpisteskiing timed the descent perfectly for spring snow with some bonus turns in colder snow at the top. Here he is testing it for us.

Two challenges today. Temps have warmed up so finding good snow and skiing what we found both required more thinking. The second being that the TGR crew with Ian McIntosh, Sage Cattabriga-Alosa and Christina Lusti wanted to film on our plan A line! They’ve been here all week with a crew of 5 photographers and drone operators - very pleasant company. Fortunately, @offpisteskiing had a very acceptable plan B...

Lucky he gets more colorful each season!
Do you know how does Lofoten compare to the Lyngen Alps?

After the TGR film crew guzumped us on Friday, we decided to visit the previous day’s plan A for our final day. The objective being a very aesthetic 40 deg Couloir situated 850m up a very aesthetic peak.

The weather looked ominous and it was warm again. However the TGR team had put in a decent skin track and even left the Couloir untracked (Sage skied down the spine to looker’s left in pic 1: it was insane).
Here @horizon and @arno bootpack into the Couloir mouth.

Having topped out, a few of us climbed (in every sense of the word) the final few meters of exposed nevé to the summit.
After done high fives, we skied the Couloir and totally killed it, TGR style. Here’s @horizon doing just that.
The Couloir was boot deep compacted powder with suitable sloughing. The snow on the face below was some of the best of the trip. The least said about the lowermost 200m the better...
