The Trois Vallees has high north facing slopes, I suspect that just means the local Les Menuires runs are south facing??? For £370 inc flights I'd be booking that ASAP personally!

+1 for Les Menuires. Should be plenty of snow there at that time and you are able to link to Meribel and valTho. Prob close to ski in /ski out with a nice beginners area. Miles better for convenience to the lifts than Morzine and a much bigger area.Normally I would wait to 10 days before to get the accom deal but at that price you can't go wrong.

Thanks for all the advice guys! Les Menuires is looking the way to go...
Seems the 3 valleys doesn't offer a ski pass rate for students, unlike Portes du Soleil 
Hopefully we can still make it work in budget.
