@WindOfChange, They've just announced that the La Chaux Express and James Blunt chair and Lac 2 will be open on top of Lac 1 and Funispace which were last weekend.
That will give 5 pistes and plenty of skiing. In fact there wasn't much more last Christmas!
Saturday and Sunday only until the beginning of December.

In addition to the extra lifts and pistes officially open, I suspect it will be possible to ski all the way down to Verbier given it snowed down to Le Chable on Sunday night. The weather forecast is also looking up so i’d go for it if I were you. Saturday probably better if you have a choice as you’ll be skiing the fresh snow from this weekend.
The pic above is of the Savoleyres side which is not yet open but available for tourers.

@WindOfChange, Les Attelas, six man from just below Ruinettes to Lac des Vaux. Saves using the funispace. Very unusual for them to open it early.
Looks like being a great weekend.

Stunning conditions yesterday. Barely a stone or bare patch to be found and with La Chaux and the Blunt open any crowds disappeared very quickly. As ever, the snow in Lac des Vaux was tip top.
Snowing heavily down to Le Châble this morning.

Televerbier have announced that the Jumbo and La Chaux 2 will be opening this weekend in addition to last weekend's lifts.
Chassoure and Savolyeres will also be open but just to allow skiers from Siviez and La Tzoumaz to access Verbier.

Hi, we are heading up to Verbier on Sunday. The forecast looks like quite a bit of snow Saturday, and a little on Sunday.
Does the snow cover come down as far as the trees and Medran, or is it all up above the Runiettes?

@WindOfChange, Snow down to the valley last weekend, will go up tomorrow with rain up to 1700m and back down on Saturday night with level dropping to 700m. Sunday has the potential to be superb. See the video above for conditions in La Chaux / Fontanet last Sunday. This Sunday should be significantly better...

@WindOfChange, I skied to Medran last Sunday. It wasn’t open but coverage fine apart from the last 100m.

15cm top up today made for great skiing but mainly poor viz. A few more cm tonight with cold temps should make for great skiing tomorrow if the sun comes out...

Bruson opening this weekend. Just for the weekend. Normally never open before mid December.
Rumour is it will be Justin Murisier’s private training ground next week in advance of FIS in Val D’Isere.

Mont Fort and Mayentzet lifts also opening Saturday.
For those of you who like it radical, Les Esserts as well.
It’s the best ensemble of lifts and terrain we’ve had available for the formal opening weekend in many years.
And it’s going to be cold. Temperatures at Mont Fort could be bottoming out at -25c!

As you were, they've updated the website since this morning, and now showing Mont Fort and Mayentzet opening next weekend, but Bruson is confirmed.

You know it makes sense.

So the lack of Mont Fort (😡) is compensated for by the 25cm of fresh that apparently fell yesterday which should make for sensational conditions this weekend assuming you can avoid frostbite/hypothermia!

The lift line in Le Chable on Saturday was halfway to Fionnay (people dressed as Santa got to ski for free), so we went to Bruson and had a fabulous day, just two pistes open, but in lovely condition.
Back to Verbier yesterday for stunning skiing in absolutely freezing temperatures. Decent base for the first time in years and the snow cannon are belting out.
Today should be super, dawned cold and clear again with no one around other than @rungsp

@rungsp, if you want to get into the soft stuff I highly recommend Col des Mines with the traverse right to the avi barriers and down through the trees to the Bisses du Levron path. It’s where we took the tree skiing vids. Don’t get tempted by Gentianes. The lower half is a rock fest! Enjoy!!!

The last two days have been Piste Heaven.
Perfect pistes.
Perfect blue sky.
Perfect temperature.
Perfect crowds (i.e. none)
More of the same expected tomorrow...we go home last flight...and then it is supposed to snow snow snow.
What an exceptional start to the season

La Tzoumaz, 1500m - This morning (8.12.17) from the balcony after heavy snow last night.
It brighted up in the morning and got up to 4C on the balcony, then light snow for a few more hours. Somewhat windy in the afternoon and temps have dropped to -4.7C now (21:30 CET). Some more moderate snow later tonight, then a similar pattern is forecast for tomorrow.
Heavy snow forecast Sunday afternoon.
The Savoleyres télécabine La Tzoumaz / Verbier was running today (to transfer skiers from/to LTZ) but no other chairs in operation. Although you could and people were skiing down to Croix de Coeur and presumably on to Verbier. Upper Savoleyres pistes set to open tomorrow (Sat. 9.12.17).
