@sequoiaboard, Wizzair does luton to Belgrade every tue, thu and sat, we did sat to sat but means arriving at 11pm so definitely worth an overnight in Belgrade before the transfer to resort. I'd actually advise doing 24hrs in Belgrade before heading up there, if you have plenty of time the Thursday flight with couple of days in town to see some of the interesting stuff - it really isn't as nice as a city in winter but still a good option.

Just remembered Air Serbia flies from Heathrow too, but their flights are a ridiculous £100 return, sometimes a bit less, but flight times are a bit better, not sure what days though.

now largely the same as any other Western European resort. |
I think the resort would be delighted to know an authority such as you considers their facilities to be on a par with the very popular places in France, Austria and Italy, but evidently at least 50% cheaper.
One other note for travellers, lift pass for 5 days was 12,000 dinars, 140 dinars to the pound. Oh, and when you take the card back on last day you get 500 dinars back too.

From my memory I think a lift pass was about €30/€35 a day? Which was quite expensive considering. About the same price as any small lesser-known resort in Europe. Not knocking it though, I really enjoyed Kopaonik, got very lucky with snow when I was there. Food was cheap, as was car rental. Hotels dear. Nice people

@moseyp, think daily lift passes quite expensive compared to longer periods. Prices here: http://www.eng.infokop.net/images/stories/cenovnici/kopaonik-prices-2017.pdf - price for one day should have been 3,550 so about 30 euros vs 5 days 13,000 (about 100 euros)
One other thing for families, Serbian kids have their "half term" in Belgrade first week or two of February, so the usual half term week is a fairly quiet week in resort. Flights likely to be a bit more, as UK families go on holiday, but Belgrade is not traditional half term popular destination. Starting to think that a family half term week could be seriously cheap compared with other european countries.

To include genocide in the category of 'good for something different' just beggars belief....Come to think of it we probably shouldn't be surprised should we?
