That's your call @gabbooc, but Alpybus can move your transfer earlier or later depending on weather etc so if they text you the night before to say 6:50am you're screwed.
Skiidy are brilliant - I've used them 30+ times and never a single problem. Also awesome are Mountain Bus Company & Powder Cabs. They schedule around customers so a delay or bad weather won't see you stranded, where as Alpybus and Easybus provide a scheduled bus service - miss your bus and miss your seat. Also their t&cs are pretty shonky.

@Handy Turnip, You, understandably, are making a connection between easyjet and easybus. There is'nt really a connection as I understand it |
Yes, I am completely aware and understand they are separate companies. We had a similar thing at M&S with M&S Bank (HSBC) and M&S Energy (SSE), but also understand that while we knew they were seperate companies, it was understandable for customers not too and to call the master brand into question when something went wrong.

@Handy Turnip, You, understandably, are making a connection between easyjet and easybus. There is'nt really a connection as I understand it except for this :-
"I think the way it works is that the easy brand is licensed / franchised to easybus / andrew martin, as it is to easyjet, by Stelios (what's is name). Stelios is now only a shareholder in easyjet, although a major one, but owns the name, so he / his master franchise organisation might be a better target, perhaps. That's the way I think it is anyway ie easyjet has no real connection with, or control over, easybus apart from both hiring their brand names off the same guy. Not sure if they promote easybus on their website etc. ?"
I agree, all this sort of stuff cannot be good for easyjet, as well as all the other easy franchises, I think there is coffee and all sorts ? |
Agree that EasyJet is now a uk plc, with a limited connection to other groups with the Easy brand.
But from their website bookings with Easybus, even for travel in France, are with "easyBus Limited", which is a UK-registered company (so subject to UK trading standards etc) with a single director: Sir Stelios Haji Ioannou. Even if he has franchised out the management to someone else, he probably won't want any associated adverse publicity / brand damage.
