Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

we stayed at this hotel, mainly because it was on the piste, so we didn't eat or drink out I'm afraid!!

Hello Samoens fans.
Anyone else out there during half term 11-18 Feb. Taking the family out to see our place in Les Fermes de Samoens for the first time. Never done half term before. Does anyone know how busy the Samoens area gets during the school holidays?

provenjohn, stayed twice in Les Carroz and couldn't think of a better place to ski, eat and drink (although it's the only place I've actually skiied Embarassed ). We went to a restaurant called Les Servages (I think that's how it's spelt) which has some Michelin star rating or other. Quite expensive but well worth treating yourself, fantastic atmosphere and service.

Just about everywhere in Les Carroz seemed worth a try - best thing we found was just to try anywhere we fancied the look of and that hasn't gone wrong yet! Little Angel

For the drinking/apres ski, we often went to the Marlowe in the centre of Les Carroz. Great buzz and can get very busy, but can also get rather smoky in there.
