Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Thanks, didn't know about the postal strike, you'd have thought they might have mentioned that when I inquired about the lack of a tracking number/delay. The carrier is DPS, and the tracking finally updated overnight so I'm happier to at least see things moving...

The strike officially ended on midnight on Sunday/Monday, i.e. service resumed, but the backlog may take sometime to shift. I think you'll find that DPS is a sub-division of Deutsche Post, so if that is true, then things should start moving fairly swiftly now.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

If they are going to GLS in Coventry it probably means that the UK carrier will be Parcelforce. Try putting the tracking number in to their site.

It is ParcelForce, there was a second tracking number for them. Putting that into their site now gives....

Which is the same date and time as the last DPS entry. Could mean that the tyres are in the UK now rather than on a truck between Germany and UK.

As long as they turn up in time for me to get them on the car before next Friday's start to our holiday I'll be happy.
