Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi Steve, thanks to your updates we decided last minute to book a last minute deal with espritski. We head out on Sunday, but unbelievably for a ski holiday company they had no ski carriage available!

Could you recommend somewhere to hire? Is there anywhere that has kastles available?

No ski carriage for a ski holiday company is unreal. Still in shock.

Perhaps as you booked so late all the spaces for ski's had been taken? I am flying out with Ski Total (a sister company) and Titan airways and I have ski carriage booked.

Hi @Minion1980, it's jet2. Apparently we can take our boots as part of the checked luggage, but they take up a lot of bag space. I'm going to call jet2 later to see if they can go in seperate bags, but I'll still need to buy one as I usually use a tif roller for my gear.

All I know is that there was some sort of an 'accident' down at the roundabout in La Daille (one by the Funicular)

Did Tina Maze seriously overshoot the bottom of the Orange?
I've seen a few accident aftermaths at that roundabout, especially when I used to stay regularly at the Toviere hotel when Mark Warner ran it. Amazing how a few drinks makes people go tout droit.

@Mt, Mmm...I expect most of Jet2's space taken up by watches, duty free perfumes and jettoo cuddly toys.
For what it's worth, the best skis I've ever hired anywhere were from Snowberry, near Rond Point de Pistes in Val D. Quite expensive but great service. Plenty of online booking discounts and reviews available on t'internet.

Cant comment specifically re Kastles (weird as no ski carriage available) but glad my updates have made you take the plunge - wish i was on commission now! Sure you will have a wonderful weeks holiday!

Re ski hire - I would always recommend Snowberry - yes... perhaps not the cheapest but location and service makes up for it! Drop them an email today and you never know they may be able to hold something for you!

Good luck and see you on the slopes (well if my ankle heels soon that is!).

A real coup and big congrats for Victor Muffat-Jeandet as he gets a podium (third place) in todays GS. Photo courtesy of Radio Val d'Isere.

What a day it has been. Clare took the morning shift for the TDC 'launch day' - aka in house get together. They all went off for a ski together.

Meanwhile I made a family scrambled eggs breakfast which Olivia demolished. Then I shuffled down to have my bandages swapped. It was always going to be tricky as Olivia was all dressed up for the outdoors and I didn't want to totally get her undressed for the sake of 10 mins with the nurse. Anyway I was armed with a cartoon on the iPad and a few other tricks up my shirt as she sat in her pram and the nurse worked away on my ankle for the 10 mins or so. Anyway she was a real little star and was more interested really in sitting and watching the nurse work away.

We celebrated with a trip to watch the first run of the mens GS. I had forgotten how busy it gets with people flowing into town to watch the racing. This year was no exception as there some 8000 people they estimated who came to watch the racing. As a result with Olivia in her pram it was a tight squeeze in the bus. Anyway we got there just as about number 5 was coming down.

I recorded some of the action for Periscope which you can watch here:

https://t.co/wBRcURpqIj - apologies it can be rather challenging sometimes to film, see what is going on, and in this case push the pram in the snow and do it all fluidly! I do think at some point I mentioned that the local french boys were not doing great but I was wrong - it was slightly tough to see the leaderboard and I sensed the crowd were a little flat but alas they weren't.

After a little while there it was time to come home. Some play time with Olivia and lunch and then she was sleepy.

By the time Clare came back from lunch (they all ate at Sur La Montagne) she was just waking up!

So the afternoon was spent in an empty HIP Hideouts chalet talking through a number of things from off piste policy to social media - you name it. 3 hours turned into 4 hours and it went on a fair while but these things need talking through.

A quick pint at Fall Line and then it was home for some dinner and I find myself here now!

Tomorrow is exciting as GBR have our very own Dave Ryding racing (he is bib number 2Cool so I am very excited for that. Slalom is the only event he does and he is now inside the worlds top 30. Clare is working over in Tignes tomorrow am so I shall probably do as I did this morning but a little later so as to catch Dave. I do remember racing against Dave when he was a teenager and I was in my early 20's and he was good then but to have dedicated all your life to ski racing as a Brit is something else.... congrats!

I think that is all for tonight folks! Take care and TTFN

Please keep sharing and liking wherever you can folks (here, Twitter or Periscope) - I really appreciate it and remember any questions please fire away.

 You know it makes sense.
You know it makes sense.

Well it was a little bit like yesterday all over again in many ways today - BUT BETTER. Bandage change then off to watch the ski racing (more on that in a moment). Daddy / Olivia time for most of the morning. This afternoon we went en famille to the Toviere Hotel in La Daille for a family drink and to see the owners whom Clare in particular knows pretty well - Florence and Fabrice! Clare had a quick meeting with the Ski Club of Manchester lot as she is on that booking this week and I walked Olivia back home... it has been a nice day! When we were at the Toviere Olivia was fascinated watching the SAF chopper on duty moving the tons and tons of equipment from the Face area down towards La Daille as the relentless set up for the Womens races continues. They are training from Wednesday on there so Tuesday will be test day so really they only have tomorrow to fully set up the remaining netting etc!

So a couple of updates for people this evening.

The Sioux Tunnel just outside Moutiers - they have had to put the traffic lights on this evening to regulate the traffic and stop people queuing inside for health reasons. Highly unusual for this time of the year but there you go! It must have something to do with the 8000 people (give or take) that travelled to Val to watch the World Cup racing this weekend.

I totally forgot the other evening to report that there had been YET ANOTHER crash down in La Daille at the roundabout - this time there was injury involved! Anyway connect the dots as follows.... alcohol, drugs, theft of skis, speed and roundabout - as you can imagine now the person has been released from hospital they are courtesy of the French Gendarmes!

<img src = "https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CWAbb8rWwAA8x5l.jpg:large"?

Today was election day round 2 in France and the results are still to be announced this evening but we suspect the results could be quite conservative in comparison to much of France - more update on that tomorrow!

Anyway folks back to the MAIN EVENT TODAY the Mens Slalom. I did my Periscope https://t.co/eoROXnea58 from the side of the race course. When I watched the video back I realised I made a small gaff in the fact I said that Adam Zampa was from the Czech Republic - he was born in Czechoslovakia but now represents Slovakia - whoops sorry folks! Anyway it was awesome seeing the best male slalom skiers in the world make the iced Face look like childs play - to be able to get those edge angles at those speeds and hold the edges is incredible!

One of the best photos I have seem from the day comes from Eurosports Emma Carrick-Anderson (actually Carrick Smith as she is married to ex BASI trainer and all round top chap - Phil Smith). Anyway her three boys got a great photo with Dave Ryding...

Dave Ryding skied out of his skin and as I watched the second run at home I was rather excited to see him get his PB and come in 12th position - on the second page of the results sheet non the less - this boy could go high places!

... And I think that brings you all up to date for the day.

I forgot to mention that this who do not have smart phone or do not wish to download you can watch my daily Periscops for now and eternity as they are automatically saved on there forever by following this link! https://katch.me/SteveAngusSnow

PS WEATHER AND SNOW REPORT nearly forgot. There are some holes appearing on the pistes and it has been a while since the last serious snowfall HOWEVER they are working really hard to complete coverage using artificial snow AND there could be a change in the weather and about 10-20cms coming later in the week possibly. However since we are a high resort FEAR NOT we are still doing pretty well and there is plenty to keep everyone entertained in the lead up to Xmas (unless you only ski off piste in which case you have to walk a long way!)

... thanks for this Mark1863 - particular problem at the moment is that there are lots of students in town and they urm generally dont either learn how to ski / board and get themselves into tricky situations or indeed well meaning friends push them onto real tough runs for their experience level - that is one of the reasons why at this time of the year there are things like this happening.

Of course the piste is perhaps not in its best ever state which could make it much worse for people too!

First full day in Tignes today and my intention to try a few black runs is looking like being thwarted by the lack of fresh snow but I did have a run down an icy Trolles as my last run of the day after feeling good doing various blues and red on Aigulle Percee. There weren't many on it and my two more experienced mates didn't fancy it so did it on my own. It was nice for a bit of an adrenaline rush at the end of the day.

Sorry Steve, the wife's friends decided, as they of different standards, to go with the ski school booked through Esprit - Evo2. Not that my missus is very happy with it as she's very cautious and was a bit disconcerted by the runs at the top of Palafour, culminating in someone bombing over a blind hill and hitting her. We're trying to get her something easier going.

It sure gets chilly at this time of the year as soon as that sun drops behind the mountain!

Had a fun Periscope today discussing the ins and outs of skiing on Bellevarde; talked about the reasons for traffic queues (and how to avoid them) in the Moutiers area and had people tuning in from as far afield as Tel Aviv and Florida - wow!

https://t.co/sldmmlYbJo

It was a chilly start to the morning as the temperature had dropped to about -10 overnight but it was the guy (German) who has parked outside in the car park outside our apartment whom I feel sorry for... he left his headlights on and the battery was blatantly dead this morning - he will have a shock at the end of his week when he tries to restart his engine!

The normal visit to drop Olivia at creche followed by the nurse re-dressing my ankle and I was able to start my day. The nurse was happy as the 'hole' is now about half the size it was - so I am still on track to be able to ski next week - yippee!

I had a fairly boring morning working on some paperwork at home. I wish I had headed to the Face to watch the Men and Womens French Slalom team doing some training on there but not to worry!

Clare started another full week of teaching and I am now so looking forward to getting back up there - really feel a little out of the loop not being on the hill day in day out!

I picked up my new Planks goggles for this season today as well - I now have a pair of white and a pair of black framed goggles - choices choices choices!

I popped into Sherpa to pick a few things up and noticed that the building on top of the new Fondue Factory really is starting to look quite smart on the outside...

So there I was half way through my posting when a friend popped around for a drink.... so I have totally lost my chain of thought. Cant remember the other thing I was going to mention this evening. So I think now is the time to sign off for this evening.

White Fox - no problems at all - just hope everyone ends up enjoying their week!

Hi Steve - I can't say enough good things about your periscope posts and your daily blogs. You are doing a great service for all of us planning a trip out to EK this season. I especially love your "tips" on which runs are good for beginners etc. I now watch your periscopes with my piste map out! I was wondering if you might share a few pointers about ski conditioning? Anything we should particularly pay attention to in the weeks leading up to a Ski Trip. Do you have any simple warm-up exercises to do at the beginning of a ski day in the mountains? Could you recommend (generally) where a confident intermediate should head to on the first ski day of the season to get ski legs back etc.

Also, I was interested to see you mention the Sherpa Supermarket - is this your preferred Supermarket in the resort? Any pointers would be helpful. We are there for 3 weeks, self catering, but will not have a car so won't be able to run down to Bourg! I have made a note of your mentioning to bring tin foil!!

We have two lessons booked with you the second week of January. Very glad to hear your ankle is on the mend. Don't try and squeeze it into your boot if it is still swollen!

Robbed - hope not literally - but then again it can get quite pricey up there!

Cash machines.... nah closest ones are in town I am afraid - although there is one on the side of the Maison de Tignes in Tignes Le Lac right on the piste but you need to head Tignes way for that obviously!

Steve ,

I thought I would just drop my tuppence worth about what a great job you are doing for EK and Val in particular . In this day and age of technology most resort sites are shocking , very un-userfreindly and pretty static in terms of news events snow conditions and local stories . Only the .net sites such as merinet and valdinet offer some sort of regular updates . The La Tania blog as well . But as someone who has spent 1 or 2 weeks every year in the Alps for the past 30 years , I still crave every last little bit of news , I want to see what the roads and pavements look like , I want to see where they have built recently , I want to know if this shop or that shop has changed hands , where I can park , which new restaurants are worth a look , all the little snippets of news that only STEVE ANGUS bring’s to us . I am only too sure you get used to ( even bored with ) all the compliments that most people throw in your direction but I really do thank you . It brightens up a dreary grey and wet lunchtime in Suffolk .
However there might be some sort of commercial opportunity for you , I know for sure that our group ( 5 or 6 families ) have booked in Val because we felt safe in the knowledge that we had a daily update of life in Val , it has without doubt made a difference to our resort decision , and who benefits from that , not you or TDC ( I did try to book but they were full ) so what about approaching the tourist office and see if they could incorporate your daily blogs for a fee , even if it is just a few beer tokens or a cheaper ski pass ticket . I feel that the hundreds of people who read your blog would probably agree .

Anyway , very well done and keep it up .

Seen lurking in town a few days early though!

Hmmmmmmm even weirder - Radio Val presenters getting into the spirit of Star Wars - either that or I had better lock the doors good and proper tonight!

....and finally some 'ski porn' - just watch the first minute or two - preparing Val for the Olympics some 25 years ago or so.

Quite a collection there folks for pics and videos to tickle everyones fancy!

So folks it was deja vu once again today.... however the two changes were that it was pretty hectic in Medival so it took 2 hours to get my bandage changed today - boo - but I did see lots of people I know from around town for a good chat whilst waiting though! The second big change today was that I put up all the Xmas lights and little tree - Olivia was bewildered in a nice way when she got back from creche and was still pointing at the twinkly little lights when she went to bed!

In term of the slopes and conditions.... well looks like the top part of the Face may have opened today and I think they are going to try and get the rest of the Face open tomorrow or Thursday!

In local news.... there was an initial mention at the ESF AGM meeting last night when the head of the STVI did his round up of goings on in the Val lift world that they are planning on seeking permission and working on decommissioning both the Bellevarde Express chairlift AND the Loyes Express chair..... this is NOT likely to either be firm yet, let alone a time frame and no doubt there will be objections so it may never happen but this could be quite large news!

In other local news they have started to build the snow sculptures around town at the roundabouts.

The womens downhill training takes place tomorrow and Thursday down into La Daille before the World Cup race on Friday and Saturday!

It also looks like the tourist office in association with the STVI lift company are releasing a new Val d'Isere app tomorrow - I dont have any more details but I shall try and remember to download it to see what it is all about!

I think even though we are fairing much better than other resorts in terms of snow the Espace Killy is starting to make plans for minimal 'options' for skiers over the busy Xmas period. I have definitely seen some snow being shipped up to put on the nursery slopes here in town... The good news is that down in town in the shade for much of the day at this time of the year any snow that is put down generally stays put!

Todays periscope involved we talking about some of the questions that Vasta asks below... in fact I have a few more things to say below too. I also talk about a little local history regarding the 1970 avalanche that killed some 40 odd people here in town - an infamous date in Val d'Isere history!

Check it out here: https://t.co/JFgWhTfO2R

I have also uploaded my bellevarde top tips video I recorded the other day too: https://ktch.tv/531x?s=03m59s&e=09m26s

ski conditioning
- work all your leg muscles and go for endurance in the legs but all the leg muscles. As a tester as to how 'ski fit' you are do the skier sit.... imagine you are sitting on a chair but replace chair with thin air and the back of the chair is the wall.... 90 degrees at the knee and try and hold for one minute (honestly!). Also core strength.... so lying on your bed try and pick up and place on other side of the bed a heavy weight.... repeat. Finally a little bit of aerobic fitness but not too much. TBH main thing affecting fitness on the hill is hydration and rest with a general base level of fitness - after that it is as much about acclimatisation as anything.

Quote:
warm-up exercises

I always get people to warm up from the snow upwards when they start skiing in the am.... feet shuffling, foot lift, hop and turns, little jumps, 'hula-hopping' hips, upper body swimming strokes etc etc etc.... anything to get body activated in a dynamic way. Second part of the warm up is to get the mind activated.... draw imaginary line down piste centre (for example) - overtime cross the line pole plant right on it... be precise - gets brain activated - there are others of all of these!

[quote]first ski day location[/b]
Generally a lap around the zone tranquil on the Bellevarde is your best option as you get a little mileage and there are a few options but dare I say it that without seeing someone ski it is difficult to directly suggest something... another option could be up and down Madelaine. But zone tranquil is a cliche but probably best option.

Quote:
Sherpa supermarket

Have no preference really as they are all much of a muchness... that one in the centre of town is probably the largest by millimetres! If you want to go hunting for it the Val cash and carry - Cash 2000 at the top end of town is an option too!

Great - shall see you then!

gwatts10 - I dont know what to say other than thanks. I hear you! Glad I have helped secure a trip here to Val. My motivation really for doing all this is that I love sharing what I do, I love my job and Val d'Isere is a good home for me. Getting the word out to as many people as possible and getting followers or fans or clients or whatever you want to call it is a nice spin off but giving people an insight and helping them love sliding here in Val and Tignes is a good gift! The idea of a commercial opportunity - well if I am to be honest the chance of that happening is non existent really.... the poor resort websites etc are not by accident as often places are so blinkered to the fact that they need to do more, much more. Val fairs better than most. If I was just seen as the go to person in resort that would suit me! But THANKS your kind words mean a lot. Target - perhaps a million page views of this blog, 1000 followers on twitter and periscope - who knows - the sky is the limit - it doesnt really matter. However as I always say to people if you like what you see tell your friends and family and friends friends, like, share and get involved via this, Twitter and Periscope!

ecsleath - Have to be honest - have not been to that part of the resort yet this season but the outlook at that altitude will be hit and miss skiing wise. I dont think the Sache is / will open... in fact at this time of the year nothing that low down is open (normally). Technically it will be the first weekend of the season open down there and they will make sure you can ski back so fear not! Unless anyone has heard anything differently!

@ecsleath, I've run into some folks staying in Breviere, and they are taking a bus up to Le Lac. Unless more snow comes, which it isn't meant to, then the situation won't change from what it is.

I thought you could uplift and downlift in the bubble.

Slight dusting overnight

Well we awoke to a dusting of snow this morning down here in town and I am sure up top it will have been a little more. A few cm's is great as it just softens things up a little but also the piste bashers can really squish it down and it all counts to the greater good!

The weather certainly got warmer as the day went on and was a few above by the end of the afternoon which is most unusual for this time of the year.

In todays Periscope I talked a little bit about the newly launched Val d'Isere app which I dont think is that flash to be honest with you... it is clean and functional (works well) but there is nothing 'must have' about it I dont think. It is really an extension of the Val d'Isere tourism website and acts as a directory but there you go. https://t.co/mZl464R6vP

I also announced that I am planning to get some 'guest' talkers in for my daily broadcasts. By the way even if you dont have a Twitter account you can still download and use the app on your android / iPhone but just entering your phone number (I think that option still works). So perhaps ski shop owners, English estate agents etc. Watch this space.

In other local news the new cinema is finally set to open.... actually looks like a real cinema by the looks of things - goodness knows when we will get Star Wars in English though!

However the biggest news for regular readers here: THE FACE IS NOW OPEN... get your ice skates on!

... Clare has been running around left, right and centre teaching and doing things associated with work pretty much non stop at the moment so I am Dad and cleaner and pretty much everything else at the moment which keeps me busy.

I think that is about all for now... cant wait until I get back on the slopes and can actually make these updates a little bit more interesting!

Anyhow. TTFN

They have started work on the snow sculptures across town in preparation for Xmas week!

Well today was a slight change of plan.... normal visit to Medival and then I got a call - could I pop to the Coeur de Ble cafe in the centre of town opposite the main bus station.... a friend of a friend asking if I had time to help with some works that need doing there. The cafe is being reinvented for this season as a 'super health foods' style cafe.... so I ended up spending almost all day in there helping out.... well every penny counts ehh!

There is still no sign of fresh snow but temperatures mean that they have still been able to make some articifical snow overnight however they are having to do it in a quite measured way as daytime temperatures are unseasonably high still!!!!

Thanks to Radio Val d'sere for this pic

There was the start of season 'Val d'Isere tourist office / town council, meets the representatives from the British Tour Ops' this evening which I believe went well. They talked about all things relating to the resort and rules / regulations as well as explain how the town works as well as being a good joint PR initiative!

The final run of the Womens Downhill World Cup training took place (you have to leave the start gate twice (I still believe that is the rule) in order to be allowed to race in the actual Downhill) down into La Daille on the OK Orange. The actual race is tomorrow (a combined) and then the actual Downhill on Saturday!

In terms of visitor numbers to the resort they are reporting that this season so far we are up 14% on last year.... HOWEVER this was mainly due to that early snow which stopped (until now, more or less) the really negative news headlines. I should think that when we add in Xmas visits this year the overall growth will be low single figures. It is a shame as often you can get REALLY good conditions at this time of the year.... well at least empty pistes!

Todays Periscope is here : https://t.co/fpcSPeZYMz.... answering a few questions but not a long one today.

Tomorrow I am off down to Bourg to collect our car after the repair quote has been finalised and also to do a shop.

more importantly where can we find beer prices to avoid needing a second mortgage

Alex Bar 2 for 1 every evening between 5-7pm.
7 euro a pint normally so 3.50 is cheap price for a good beer ... [not Cafe Face Beer].
Same deal on Wine but not on soft drinks.

After 7pm Jugs[4 pints] are 22 euros.. !!

A good feature is that if you dont want your 2nd pint you can carry it over to another evening !!

Location near centre; under the Hotel Galise opposite the Kids carousel roundabout in Val Village.

A different view....

First things first to answer a couple of queries etc...

kb36 - just trying to get reference as to where that comment came from BUT if you want a couple of ideas of cheaper places to drink then look at Cafe Face EARLY - from 3pm'ish - prices increase as the apres goes on. Believe Danois have great apres prices this year. It should be noted that businesses in ski resorts have to make 90% of their money in 5 short months - that is one of the reasons why prices are pretty high and also tax is very heavy in France. But agreed prices for drinks some places is very high. Val d'Isere is not the cheapest place either.

ecsleath - I managed to get you a photo of what the runs look like going down into Brev as I went down on the bus to Bourg this morning... not too bad looking it has to be said and they have pisted everything again by the looks of things so they may try and open more than I thought tomorrow!

Today seemed to fly by....

I was on the early 9am bus down to Bourg to do a few things. First thing when I arrived was my daily Periscope and I talked about my tips for Bourg... mainly if you have the option get through Albertville and Moutiers early on the day Saturday as when you get to Bourg (assuming no snow issued on the road) you are through the worst of the traffic and it should be relatively painless getting up to resort. Talked about a few places to leave bags, showed where the buses and taxis go from; talked about shopping 'down the valley' etc. Anyway its here... https://t.co/B8l6rrsgiV.... tomorrow I have been challenged to try and get Lyndsey Vonn

I went and collected our car now that the insurance quote has been done on it - it will hopefully be repaired in mid January and take about 3 weeks. For those that dont know I was driving through town the other week and someone opened their passenger door into the side of me.... whoops!

After that it was time for a big shop at Super U and refuel the car.... back up the hill.... put everything away and then suddenly it was 4pm and time to collect Olivia from creche!

Immediately after I got back from creche we had some relations of Clares pop around for a cuppa. Clare was then off out to meet up with the Ski Club of Manchester lot she has been teaching this week and I was on bath and bed duty for Olivia..... a spot of dinner and suddenly that is the day over - PHEW haven't stopped it has been crazy.

In local news:

1) the new cinema officially opened tonight - it will be showing a whole range of films (as per the old one) but looks like it only has one screen.... it is located in the Maison de Val building which is to the left as you look of the leisure centre

2) in the Womens Combined World Cup today.... Lara Gut of Switzerland beat Lindsey Vonn by 0.01 seconds and that is after several seconds of racing - crazy. Tomorrow is Downhill at 10.30 local time.

3) tomorrow is the first big transfer day of the season... 29000 cars are expected into Moutiers .... that means that there is a good chance the traffic regulation will have to happen outside Moutiers - you have been warned.

Ankle update - although it is looking good and I can walk on it just fine... the doctor said today that I should consider not skiing on it until later next week... Although I put the ski boot on yesterday it was not the easiest thing and bearing in mind it could potentially open up again they want it to be bullet proof to avoid chance of infection again - makes sense. On top of that we are heading back to the UK for Xmas on Wednesday (first Xmas in the UK for 12 years - should be exciting and nice - especially for the grandparents)... I will be doing updates when I am at home but they will have to take a slightly different format as I am not actually in town of course... back on Sunday 27th!

Think that is all for now. Tune in tomorrow for more updates and on Periscope see if I can get within 100 yards of Vonn..... Clare is working the World Cup as a lisseur (course slider) tomorrow so maybe I should hand the camera to her!

Indeed! Don't rush to get back in to boots. Was chatting to Ingrid earlier this week and she showed me a photo - looked really nasty so I'm really pleased it's on the mend.

Cheers Rob for the support.... yea be cautious is the mantra here.... Ingrid was super helpful with all the hospital stuff - she knows everyone in there as teaches them all English! The wound is MUCH smaller than in that picture now and painless more or less! Have a good season and catch you soon!
