just arrived in Belle Plagne and its snowing....wooohoooo......now in La Tete for happy hour (happy 4 hours!) and 3.50 for a large beer. Conditions are amazing - both outside and in =)) (via SMS)

Just left Les Coches today after an awesome month there...miss it already. Had a mix of snow, esp lower down, but some awesome powder days too. Travelled there with 4 and 5 year old who skied with the local school. Feel free to pm me if anyone would like some info on the area including La Plagne and Les Arcs

Some of the best piste conditions I have ever seen, more snow than you would of thought possible and in great condition. Sun out as well, see everyone in la Tete later.

What a day yesterday! Glorious conditions although it did cloud over towards the end of the day whereupon the snow started to fall. Still snowing now and reckon another 10cm fallen. The word on the street is for the snow and cloud to be around for the next few days before blue skies return on Thursday. That could be an epic day! (via SMS)

Yep fully in the clouds here, roads are covered again and still lightly snowing, and our bread hasn't turned up this morning!

Today = wow. So much snow and it's still falling! Did a run down inversens and it was just powder. Which was a challenge for me as I've not skiied powder before! Didn't hit the crozets black as I'm a wuss and my thighs were burning already. Just took levessets, blanchets and belle plagne, then up arpette chair and down arpette and laines back to the chalet. Tomorrow will be immense. The light is pretty bad today, can't see any bumps even with goggles on. Seems fairly quiet out.
Off to get lunch now bring on a bit of sunshine so I can see!!!

As above, sooooo much fresh powder! I'm so unfit! Absolutely knackered, but very warm. Lunch then a few more hours, visabilitys getting slightly better.

Hi there,
Anyone have experience of the Chalet Bon Coin in La Plagne? Especially its location and how easy it is to get to places from it for non-skiers please?
Also, a skier friend of ours said he went to La Plagne a few years ago and the pistes were not pisted as well as they were in other resorts he'd been to, is this the case? (Don't shoot the messenger!  )

Not particularly in my experience... Compared to other French resorts I reckon it's about the same? Obviously if it snows overnight etc. there can be a bit of inconsistency in the grooming but I haven't noticed it being particularly worse than elsewhere. Some runs can get heavily skiied (eg, Arpette) and get very cut up by the end of the day, but I guess that's to be expected.

There had to have been a good 30cm of snow over last night and most of today. Powder everywhere and even managed to get fresh tracks through the trees....unusual? Given my off-piste limitations....a giant leap...ha ha ha. Major grinning faces all round....at the end. Could be sunny tomorrow, so an epic day beckons. Wooooooohooooooo..... (via SMS)

Fantastic conditions today, Blue skies for most of the morning. Pistes in fantastic condition as well as great off piste conditions. Inversen and La Source were immense. Even Mont de la Guerre was in good condition all the way down to the village.
Reports suggest it will be very cold for the next few days.
Locals are saying it is the most snow they have seen in the last 20 years.

Another very very nice day, skied down to montalbert, then back over and up to the glacier.
Turned very cold once the sun went down, and now the clouds are looming!

Conditions are fantastic, its very very cold, been between -15 and -20 all week, during the day ! Blue skys today with a few flakes of snow this afternoon. If you are arriving on Saturday you are in for a fantastic week.

Yet another blue sky morning. Conditions are very good. The cold is holding the pistes together extremely well. There is some hard pack in places, but overall it doesn't get much better. Heading out for final day but not looking forward to a 3.45am transfer!! The liver is looking forward to a night off though.....lol...For all those heading out here, a treat awaits. (via SMS)

Absolutely freezing tho. Yesterday I had to come in at 3pm as my fingers and toes went dead. No amount of skiing warmed them up. I was pretty miserable by then.
Excellent lunchtime "pancake normande" at a restaurant down in Montchavin though

Good amount of snow everywhere but the pistes are getting quite hard, especially where there's a lot of traffic. A little topup of a few cm of fluffy snow today but it will probably be scraped off pretty quickly.
