Revenue up 6% in certain small Swiss valley resorts as well. Lift company all smiles and pushing ahead with CHF 20 million plan to link up with the next village.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

"Skiing will revert gradually to its former status as an activity for nouveau riche gentry in helicopters".
couldn't be more wrong, really. They were most certainly not "nouveau riche" and neither were helicopters much in evidence, methinks.
Our resort had a very good season on the Alpine lifts last year (partly maybe because it had good snow for all except the last couple of April weeks and this brought in skiers from low lying neighbouring resorts). Praz sur Arly, part of the linked ski area, with a village at 1200m (next door to Megeve but much less up itself) has just started building a new 6 man detachable chair, replacing two old slow ones. The problem for Abondance was not the lack of snow, rather the fact that hardly anybody ever went there. I have friends with an apartment there, they have often been the only people on the Abondance slopes, at times with super snow. The local area there effectively closed some time ago, before last winter's poor snow, though that would certainly not have helped them.
Yes, the world's climate is becoming warmer, as a result of human activity. No, winter sports are not dead yet.
slikedges, at this moment in time I am talking with my adviser in Nice about setting up an airline. I am also in talks with a Northern Ireland Snowhead pilot.
We had our first flight today. Due to extreme charges for landing at GVA we found a field nearby. Footage below.
Smokin Joe, GPS eror at least we didn't have an expensive meeting about it

Just got back from two weeks hols... This thread was a fascinating read and I with the appropriateness of the thread title, I can't think of a better place to put this picture of the cabin crew on our holiday flight out last weekend. Surprisingly the plane had run out of wine

Snr Zorro: Waitress, a glass of red wine if you please.
EasyChelle: Sir, if we had any red wine in the hold do you think I'd be standing here shooting the breeze with you?
And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

That much orange. It's difficult to tell where the uniform stops and Michelle begins.
So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much
