I think they only safe thing to say about that image is that the 21st is a loooong way off and things can/will change, could be warm, could be cold could be bang in the middle. As has been mentioned many times before on this site, anything more than 3 days out is pretty much guess work so don't hang on anything happening further out than that unless most of those lines are sat on top of each other (suggesting broad agreement on outcome...)

I can't seem to make head nor tail of the latest forecasts for Andorra...It seems likely that there will be a lot of precipitation in the next week but will this fall as rain or snow? Can anyone more informed make a guess? I certainly hope its the latter!

It certainly needs it! We got back from Soldeu on Sunday after a week of terrible conditions - temperatures of 15c and non existant snow - skiing a lot of the time on grass and rocks. It was so bad that the ski hire shop wasn't even servicing skis 'cos the bases were already so wrecked. 
Good sized area for skiing, but I won't be rushing back.

Hope it is the same in Andorra, first trip in nearly 20 years coming up (arrive on 1 and will be gutted if snow is crap.

I left Soldeu yesterday Sat 17th, conditions were OK but the 8cm of snow that fell overnight Thurs didn't last past 09:00am in the village due to the temp getting to +4 C by mid morning. About 70% of the runs are open, some better than others. Best skiing is in the mornings before the surface has been scraped off. Next week is looking better with temp dropping and the chance of snow. If it does I'll be back by Tues.

The snow continues today heavily.
At the moment, we have recived;
Cauterets: 80cm fresh snow
Piau Engaly:70cm
Peyragudes:70cm
La Mongie 70cm
Baqueira Beret: 65cm
Grandvalira and Vallnord (Andorra) 65cm.
And still dumping....this afternoon the new snow will reach more than 1m!!

We've been skiing thigh-deep powder above Bareges this morning. Over 60cm this morning and it has been snowing all day with more forecast over the next week. Unfortunately the La Mongie liason was closed yesterday and today due to wind and avalanche risk, but that should settle down over the next couple of days. Why couldn't this have happened in January!?

Winter is moving, wait a whole season and then the snow falls after everyone has gone home! Although I'm off to St Anton for Easter, yipee! Probably the snow depths will peak by early May!
