What I mean is the cloud does not appear to be thick enough for a really good dump. . I am in EK 2 weeks on Friday and I was hoping to see all going white today - or at least above resort level. Half a metre will do nicely. All the predictions were it would be snowing by now. For a number of reasons I could do without the disappointment

Mark1863, I know what you mean, just checked the webcams, hoping to see wonderful snowiness... and was a bit disappointed. I'm there two weeks on Sunday!

For fellow snowheads. I am in the Alpaka in Tignes Le Lac. Getting there late 14/12 and will be there until 12/1. Pop in for drink and a chat after skiing. I will be the short one, near the bar, probably wearing something related to rowing
I am treating myself this winter - hope to be out in EK another 2 weeks in March!!

It's still looking very unsnowy on the webcam in Val D town centre, but the (rather dark) cameras from earlier show a bit of a sprinkling, so fingers crossed the full dumpage is getting underway!

It has been snowing all day on the glacier, it started sticking a bit at Val Claret about 3pm, not very much of it yet though.

Clearly sticking now. Not deep by look of the webcams. Not asking much - a foot or two will do.
Work abandoned in favour of webcam scanning and muttering to myself about the snow or lack of it. An equally pointless but slightly preferable occupation.

Dr John, it's been pretty wet snow down at resort level though - happily looking more snowy in the town and on the lower slopes now...

The snow hasn't built up much in town during the day, there is still grass showing on the lower runs.
The Lanches chair was open this morning so people were skiing Double M.

Could anyone advice a good school /instructor for Tignes for a week of 12-19 Jan? Will be coming with a group of friends and will bring my brother too, who had never stood on alpine skis before. So need 1-2 hours a day to help him with basics and boost of confidence and security. Thanks!

Not sure if Rorie is returning this year.....but any of his colleagues at TDC will provide a great service.
Stopped snowing now but they did have the cannons going on the Palafour this afternoon.
Still recovering vehicles from the road after last night caught a lot of people out!
