kwakazx6r, thanks. Been looking at the webcams on the Tignes sites but it's hard to see properly in bad vis. Cheers for that! Looks loads there compared to the last time I saw that restaurant one.

VolklAttivaS5, the Tignes Tourist Office is reporting 60cm of snow at Le Lac and 130cm at the top of the Grand Motte. MeteoFrance are reporting just over 100cm at 3,000m in La Plagne.

rob@rar, excellent. I did have a look at the Ski Club info it said the funicular only is open at mo because it's windy.
Are you doing a bit of course work over the weekend Rob or are you going for the weekend for free skiing so to speak?

The Ski Club info is nearly as bad as Snowforecast.com, Tichot & La Rosset lifts were also open from 08.30 ish  It looks like more lifts may be open tomorrow as piste bashing has been going on all day.

Mrs W, great thanks for telling us that. I was hoping someone was going to say it was wrong. Seemed a bit far fetched having just that open and nothing else. I think it was "updated" at 1pm too so that's poor if Tichot and La Rosset lifts were open at 08.30 ish!

I've seen webcams showing around the centre on Snoweye and Tignes Net but why are the ones up on the mountains stuck on a date last May? Will they be activated when the resort opens properly?
Whilst I realise I'll be out there in just over 2 weeks, I'm still an inpatient bunny and need my daily web cam fix

1st one looks like the tow to the left of the Palafour chair.
2nd is the avalanche shelter on the road between Le Lac & Val Claret
3rd looks like the "fingers" to the right of the Aeroski (usually floodlit at night) taken from the same place as photo 2

Snow all the way down to Albertville hospital, perfect conditions, back bottom deep powder, Dipsy powering through the snow in search of perfect snowballs, Meg barking like a loony after her. Mother and baby doing brilliantly,. This week you guys can have the snow. wee Victoria has arrived(see apres zone) and it would have to be some couloir to even come close. Love to all, more soon.

Leisse is the black to skiier's righ as you come off the glaccier, with a rickety old 3 man back up. Ace when it's groomed, usually quite mogulled
