for all the sarcastic people out there - how was i supposed to know that snowangel was in the same place that i was going i have only been skiing twice once when i was about 5. i dont know the situation with the three areas in serrre chavaliere i know nothing about it. i was reding a thread not long ago about newbies being scared to post - im only 18 im sorry if i sounded stupid but it was only the second thing i have sed on this board and i can se why people are scared to get in there and post!!

Frosty the Snowman, wow, didnt realise Egglescliffe school went to Serre Chevalier now, they went to Valmeinier/Valloire when i was there - 1st ski trip and it was one of the best! 
Hope Serre Chevalier and the rest of the alps get a big dump next week!

i think (and hope) its going to be a seriously massive shock to the system. I might even put my heating on in honour of it going below zero!! And the heated blanket will be back in action! HOOOOORAY, well we live in hope and if i could cross my eyelashes i would!
btw, the boy went up today, conditions are still ok, we do really need some snow now but you can still ride down to resort.

That might be an understatement. The latest GFS run I saw was forecasting -15° at 850mb on 26 Jan. The last time I skied in something like that it translated into -29° (before wind chill) at the top of the domain in La Plagne, and my face was showing the first signs of frost bite. Should be OK to run the snow cannons

rob@rar, last time it was that cold for me was in canada in lake louise, it was -28 at the hotel! -35 at the top of the world before the wind chill. 6 layers and not a bit of skin on show and i was ok!
last time it was -15 here was most of last jan!
