in even more excitement, Lucas Braathen was in our local Spar in Altenmarkt. he is working with Atomic, which is in Altenmarkt, and he has an atomic van with his name on it. At first I thought it was his old van that they hadn't taken his name off but then he popped out of the driving seat.

I guess his wife isn't best pleased. Poor woman has just had a baby so the last thing she needs is having to look after an injured husband as well. I actually thought, as I watched him set off, I wish he wasn't racing this weekend in case he gets injured and then lo and behold, I watched it happen. Oh, well, if he's out for the season I guess he'll see more of his daughter so every cloud...

spoilerKilde's in particular looked like a huge impact, seen reports suggesting an open fracture and there appeared to be quite a bit of blood on the snow He seemed to be struggling with line a bit on the lower part of the course and it just seemed to exacerbate into being really wide at the penultimate turn

Official communication from the Norwegian federation
Aleksander Aamodt Kilde was operated at the hospital in Bern on Saturday evening.
– Aleksander has had his shoulder dislocated, and a cut in his calf. He has no fractures, but is bruised. Kilde is in good hands at the hospital in Bern, says the alpine national team's doctor Marc Jacob Strauss.
Further and more detailed information about the injuries will be provided later.

@Whitegoldsbrother, yes, the Discovery+ app always has good coverage of the skiing as it has multiple streams, not limited to just the two UK broadcast Eurosport E1 and E2 channels where they often choose to show some other sports instead.
