@Arno, Also no but the skier could see the Sablat from where they are if they turned a bit.

@gorilla, the fog in the valley is making it a bit difficult to work out the lay of the land. That's my excuse anyway

Are we looking down at the Grande Dixence lake?
Ed. No obviously that is wrong from your previous answers.

@gorilla, It's not the Glacier de la Girose just above the col du Lac is it?
If so, that pic really foreshortens things!
Pretty sure it's not. I think I have identified the background (maybe...) but can't work out where on earth gorilla has got himself to

@Arno, correct. It is the Girose looking down towards the col du Lac. Your go.

Isn’t that the glacier at the top of La Grave with the drag lift? What did you do with it?

Should confess, it's not actually my photo. Although, given that I am in it, you might have guessed that. I don't think it's been mucked around with, although there was probably some zoom involved.

Hi, I just looked at this new post and it is very embarrassing. I wanted to post one of my pictures of this couloir recently and thought I had. After it had been on a short while, being unable to remember who the skier was, I posted:
"Suddenly wondering if this photo is mine or Arno's. Would be embarrassing if it were Arno's, but I remember he mentioned skiing it on SnowHeads, many years ago, possibly before I skied it."
It seems it was Arno's. Sorry Arno. I must have decided to copy it for my own pleasure without labelling who's it was. Mea culpa. I often look at my own photos now and can't remember where they were taken.

@snowball, no worries, it's not mine. I'm the skier but the photographer was @offpisteskiing
anyway, still don't see the name of the line
@Sharkymark, <cough> first descents are probably a bit unfair unless you were there

@BobinCH, agreed on the deja vu front: it’s the pitch down the backside of Aiguille Rouge down to Villaroger

S couloir to the right of this picture is a good descent but Valdez is more exciting. Slightly scary short approach along the ridge, mind you: I feel safer on skis.
Having already posted it myself for people to guess I didn't think I should say. I think @Grinning should have it.

Thought it might have been a face off the Grande Motte glacier. What about Val d’Isere?
