David Goldsmith, no, if you mean my last photo - it is the opposite side of the valley (South facing). About 2,000m vertical if the snow allows.
The Laub, as you say, keeps a constant steepness (we did it about 6-8 times I think). The one above is gentler.

And the slope is?
Looking down the "Carmen" black run from the top of "La Pendine" in Puy Saint Vincent, Ecrins.
The true steep section drops off just beyond the gentle slope in the foreground.

Seriously, I would hazard Tignes, on the way to Vallons de la Sache, offpisteskiing leading?

Somewhere off the top or around Toverie looking down at the Tignes dam?

altis, is it Méribel ? The 3 pylons being part of the Plattieres bubble and the chair in the distance (above the 3rd and 4th skier) being Cote Brune ?

I think brian is closest. It's definitely part of the 3V and, IIRC, that *is* the Cote Brune chair in the distance. I think the three pylons belong to Plan des Mains whilst Mont du Vallon is out of the picture on the left. I've PMed offpisteskiing with the hope that he can confirm.

altis, On the ridge from Plattieres 2 up to 'Marioland and Couloirs des Murs Rouges.
In the background the 3 pylons are Plan des Mains, and Cote Brune is the obvious chairlift heading up to skyline
