I don't think they'll open the lower lifts as they are not yet open anyway (afaik)

taemo, I was out there on the between the 8th and the 11th of November and the Double M run was just about open, although patchy towards the bottom. They've had more snow since then so I'd guess they'd try and keep that open as it should be more sheltered than the glacier.
They were also putting the chairs on the lift at the bottom of the funicular (can't think of the name right now), so it looks like they were trying to open that up too. I reckon you'll get some skiing in.

hey all, out in tignes at the mo and the only way to get up the mountain, afaik, is to take the funicular. the double m is open to get back down again, but it's v icy and scary if you're not confident. snow cannons have been running most of the day so helping somewhat.
mountainsun have been briliant, and even though the weather didn't play along yesterday, today was a bluebird. smug much? moi?

I haven't looked, but last season Espace liftpasses became active at 3.30pm the day before the first day, so if this is the case you won't need the free lifts (chair on opposite side of the road to the Loop bar in le Lac, poma drag in Lavachet & chair by funicular bus-stop in Val Claret, if needed).

It is starting to settle down here, has been going for most of the morning and last night was very cold, so fingers crossed.
It's steadily coming, I wouldn't say fast, but big fluffy stuff, big crystals, not too wet - that help?

Alpaka Lodge, yeehaa! Give it another week then. First week of Dec last year was a good un as well with about a metre coming down that week. Is it better now/more there now than there was this time last year if you can remember?

stewart woodward, you know the road that they are working on on the way up to Tignes (well they were working on it in October when we drove past in the Mountain Sun minibus anyway) is it finished now and will it make my journey shorter? i.e. which bits of the drive does it cut out (if any)?

So...30cm of new in resort and 40cm higher up according to the Tourist Board.
Such a shame the winds so high. Just like last year when every snow fall came with silly winds that ripped everything parts of the off piste. Not complaining new snow though just be nice to have some snow without wind!
