Fantastic again Mike - You need to get a job and stop having fun!
Many thanks
Got one, can't do it
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Day 18 for the 2020/21 Winter Season in the Brecon Beacons National Park
A new ski location for me today, The Black Mountain Quarries
I’ve been to the quarries before but not in snow
Located on the mountain road between Llangadog and Brynaman this former limestone quarry is now a popular walking area and historical attraction
The most recent storm had dropped more snow in the west of the Brecon Beacons National Park and the man made topography of the area was like a terrain park
From the top there are great views across the Carmarthenshire farmland in one direction, and Worm’s Head and the Welsh coastline in the opposite direction
Roadside access, easy hiking, and turns back to the car made for a great day of play
Hopefully snow rolling through on Sunday (07 March)
snowHeads are a friendly bunch.

@Mike Pow, Maybe Mr Drakeford will release us from prison soon so we can enjoy Wales....
And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Doesn't look like it.
At best the '5 mile' rule until mid-April.
So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

I think he will announce some changes on 12th March re exercise from house. He has to do something positive as he has an election soon which hopefully will put him out of a job.
You know it makes sense.

Been a long drought but there could be some play this Saturday.
Will be 'legal' to travel there too.
Otherwise you'll just go on seeing the one name:

We passed Pen Y Fan on Sunday morning, a few cars there but deadly quiet and no police. Its madness that we can't travel for exercise as Cardiff is rammed. Looking forward to being released from prison.

Absolute travesty.
Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Will there be any snow come April do you think?
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Long-range saying cold temps and snow early April.
Day 20 for me and Day 38 for Chris in the bag yesterday (06 April 2021)
Good conditions in the Western Beacons.
Could stick around for a bit, with more snow forecast.
Report to follow
Then you can post your own questions or snow reports...

I got 21 the next day, Chris hit 40 on Thursday 08 April 2021
A tremendous achievement.
Zero days in March pretty much scuppered his chances of hitting 50 days on snow in a S Wales season but the way the weather world is at present it could happen

Day 20 for the 2020/21 Winter Season in the Brecon Beacons National Park
Great to be back on skis after a dry March which left us with zero days on skis
A short, sharp storm system rolled in from the North bringing snow cover to the western edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park
Solo afternoon jaunt up to Llyn y Fan Fach for beautiful views and surprisingly good turns
Day 22 for the 2020/21 Winter Season in the Brecon Beacons National Park
A few turns and some straight lining from the summit of Pen-y-Fan was all I could muster this morning
The warm ground and sunshine was eating away at the snow which fell late Saturday night in to Sunday morning, and by the time I walked out the slopes of Cefn Crew were bare
So this was a day for looking for new lines and capturing the smaller details in this amphitheater
Great stuff Mike. Will drop you an email about a report for the podcast!

Day 23 for the 2020/21 Winter Season in the Brecon Beacons National Park
DESPERATE TIMES CALL FOR DESPERATE MEASURES
A storm system blew in from the Atlantic over the May Bank Holiday weekend and while Scotland and the North of England were experiencing heavy snowfall and long descents I had to eke out a few turns and some straight lining on the flanks of Corn Du with as many ice crystals under my skis as were in my freezer at home
But it was May; the sun was shining; and I was skiing in Wales on summits which top out at 886m
And I couldn’t be happier
I also managed a few decent turns and ‘one shot wonders’ on the Cefn Crew slopes above the Pont ar Daf car park before cruising back to the bridge on frozen grass
That looks like a wrap for the 2020/21 Winter season in Wales - a 6 month season which started on 03 November 2020 - where my ski partner Chris (@chrismorrismighty) got a record breaking 40 days on skis, and we spent a couple of days in the mountains which were as good as anywhere I’ve been lucky enough to ski
Let the 6 month countdown begin for the 2021/22 Winter Season
2020/21 was arguably the best season since 2010/11 in South Wales. Easily 50+ sub zero days on the higher summits. Although total snowfall was maybe less than some of those recent milder/wetter seasons.
