Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

This wasn’t my experience. Have you worked for them in Switzerland?

A lot of middle management journeymen are going to get the chop.

@snowdave, £75-150 is very good. Having the place is the key (ski storage etc.).

@snowdave, how many of those 5 weekend runs got derailed by winter storms?

@abc, none. I’ve never had a ski weekend derailed by weather.

In the last five years of Geneva flights, for my wife and I (she commutes to and fro during our holidays, so often on different flights) we probably average about 20 different flights a season. Of these, one was derailed by fog in London, so she took the train instead. Very approx that’s a 1% failure rate.

Across 50-100 sectors/year of total flying, the failure rate might be slightly higher (maybe 2%) because my US flights seem to be impacted a bit more than my experience in Europe. However, in 20 years of travel I think I’ve only ever missed one meeting due to flight problems.

The weather would have to be very bad for there to be no flights at all between London and Geneva for more than a few hours.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

With the BA flight pass those kind of prices are easy to get, and flight pass comes with baggage. Having the place gives the flexibility to come and go as we please, but on almost all my weekend trips I have friends along so I nearly always have to deal with ski baggage faff even tho none of it’s mine!

We tend to get these massive winter storms a few times a year that grounds flights for 24-36 hrs.

Trying to rebook a cancelled flight is difficult, with airlines bookings their planes to near capacity. There’s often very few spare seats in the flights immediately after the storm.
