Yep. It's the snowpark in the Gondrans area that had been closed off. Our instructor took us in when we were learning so we could practice skiing in fresh powder. Much fun was had!

@Bones, snow and ice-laden trees - I’ve seen them in Japan and BC. The red woolly hat and rental poles are not very JP so I guess BC, not US. I don’t know the area - unique serial escarpments.

I think I remember seeing similar looking escarpments when researching and planning a ski trip across the pond.
