There’s still an awful lot of snow along the path from Männlichen to Scheidegg. Apparently they had to use a digger before it could open.

Swiss Federal Aviation Office (BAZL) created a map in 2016 showing the no-fly zones (for recreation purpose only, licensed pilots need to submit a flight plan ) but sadly no one pays attention to it. I see many videos of flying over the area (not licensed at all) !!

Wow! So if you want to fly a drone in CH you basically need to live in a cave in the middle of nowhere

I know Philipp Gertsch of Wengen Central Sports is a keen drone flyer ( I've seen several of his excellent videos taken flying over Wengen) , I wonder whether he is licensed and submits a flight plan? I don't feel like asking him though....

Plans have been announced for a CHF90 Million project to upgrade the cable car links from Stechelberg up to Schilthorn at the latest by 2025. The changes will mean being able to go from Stechelberg up to the Schilthorn Piz Gloria in only 20 mins, with only having to change at Mürren and Birg (there'll be a new cable car going direct from Stechelberg to Mürren cutting out the change at Gimmelwald). More info (in German) here: https://www.jungfrauzeitung.ch/artikel/167724/

When the news broke about the 90 million spend i thought it was on the new lifts planned for Mürren (which has been spoken about in great lengths behind the scenes i have been told) but that isn't the case. I feel the budget has been spent on this instead of that

New lift on the nursery slope at Männlichen replacing the awful tow that's been there for years. It's an overhead lift and it goes almost all the way to the bottom of the slope, which should mean we can get directly back up to Männlichen from the top of Lager without having to hike.

Mürren News
#murrenlover wrote - Great news for the winter season. The Alpin Palace hotel has been closed since 2009 but now 22 bedrooms are in operation out of the 43. Palace Avenir AG have temporary taken it over and is trading under the name ‘Pop up Lodge #Mürren’.

Winteregg snow making facilities have been given the green light, all working fine for this winter. It should make a huge difference.
