Yuge App query.......
After the latest Yuge app update I had to log back in.
My lift pass (used this time last year and re-loaded with a week's pass for the end of Jan 2018) was no longer showing on the app.
I tried to re-enter the number but received a message that the lift pass was already associated with another account.
Any ideas on how to resolve this ?

Hope you sort out your lift-pass, UKRS; and, enjoy the wonderful snow.

@ukredsox, Can you find details of your lift pass on the skipass-laplagne website?
Superb snow conditions today, over 30cms overnight. Most of the pistes in Champagny hadn't been bashed this morning so excellent ankle to knee deep powder on piste.
Pistes over on the La Plagne side were very busy but the snow was excellent everywhere.
Very cold today but due to warm up a bit over the next couple of days.
Another 1 to 1.5 metres of fresh snow due over the next few days

@CAMSMITH, sorry can't help but it's going to be an expensive taxi from there. Unless they can sweet talk a piste basher into a lift of course!!! Maybe they could make some enquiries in a few bars to see if any friendly locals are heading that way? Even a lift down to the valley would be a start.

Phew that took a while! Thankfully super dad had forgone his usual apres ski snifter so we were able to dig the car out to get them. 18 & 15yrs . Took over 2hrs there & back. Had to dig out a new parking space when we got back it’s snowed so much. Large glass in hand now

Yep, the pass shows up fine on my website account. It's just the link to the Yuge App that's the problem.
Hopefully I'll be able to link the pass once on the first day but it's not vital. I don't go fast enough or far enough to be too concerned about keeping a record of what I've been doing.

Interesting day today after the rain yesterday the snow was icy or hard pack up to 2500m where it had snowed.
Unfortunately most of Central La Plagne ground to a halt at around 11.00 am to allow a rescue helicopter to land on the piste near the Bergerie Restaurant, we got near there a while later and the Helicopter had turned the engines off Hopefully there was a happy ending.....

@boredsurfin, helicopter was just taking off as we passed. Had a late start yesterday as didn’t get to bed until 3am, spent most of the afternoon going from top to bottom on the Montalbert gondola.
Great conditions today, did a few laps off Arpette, then headed up Roche de Mio. Levasset had a perfect covering of hero snow at the top, couldn’t get the grin off my face.

getting close to our week in la plagne feel like we've won the snow lottery this year! apologies if this isn't the right forum for this question but this seems to be the most active la plagne thread.....
does anybody have any advice for self caterers? wish i was driving as I could stock up properly en route but flying to geneva then coach transfer so not an option - where are the best places for shop for self caterers, or are there any other tips people have?
staying in belle plagne, where I think there's a small Spar from what i can see online, which may/may not have decent food stocks, is it better to travel to plagne centre to stock up for the week? thanks for any advice!

As well as the Spar, Plagne Bellecote has got some decent food shops. Just a bubble ride or walk from BP.
The Spar in Centre isn't that much better than those in the other villages.
|
|
|
|
|
|
@essexskier, Each of the villages has one or sometimes two 'food' shops. Price wise there isn't much variation but stock wise there is. Fresh milk supply is very inconsistent so you may have to go to another village shop.
Buy the basics on arrival and then go on a shopping safari using the buses as an apre ski activity 😀
and next time self drive

|

You know it makes sense.
|
@essexskier, worth packing things like seasoning, spices, teabags, rice, pasta, tinned toms so you've got some cooking basics and then just buying the fresh ingredients locally.

thanks for the advice and definitely worthwhile tip there re seasonings and stuff. you never know what things that you consider supermarket basics are completely unavailable when you go abroad. i remember being v surprised at the zero spices for sale when we went to livigno which was a bit of a problem as i had promised to cook curry for 8 people that evening!
so things like minced beef should be reasonably available?

@ukredsox, I was set up by my lovely family when taking an unmarked bag of brown granules through security, everyone including the usually straight faced security team found it hilarious as I nervously untied the bag and was about to.......
eat some gravy granules

We’re self catering and brought stuff like rice and pasta sauces with us. We drove up but couldn’t hit a shop on the way from Geneva as were too late.
Shop in Belle Plagne is fine and variety isn’t too bad. When you compare it to a similar size shop in the UK then price is actually okay and stock level probably better.
Anyway, on a more important note, snow is fantastic today. Shame that no lifts in Bellecote ran before 10am (especially as we were out before 9). Can still find little pockets of fresh stuff on piste and side piste is fairly untracked where I’ve been.

@SnoodlesMcFlude, For future ref, coming into Aime from Moutier direction first roundabout, first exit, first right is a Casino supermarket usually open to 8/9pm - sorry cant be more specific on the hours than that.

Not sure that is correct. Their website says they close at 19.30 source
Leclerc is open till 20.00 though - past Casino further down the hill. We usually stock up there but we always drive so a lot easier.

@rdsweb, Hence saying I couldn't be more specific
The LeClerc is further and more difficult to find and particularly difficult if you don't know the road layout, one could easily find the way to Bourg by accident!

Heading to Belle Plagne on Sunday for a week. The first time we've been back to La Plagne since my wife and I did a season there in 2004/05. Really excited. Kids are at a level where they will really get the most out of the area. Kids are looking forward to the new funslope off the top of Arpette and skiing down to Montalbert as our dog "Monty" is named after it
