Poster: A snowHead

This morning around 11am five cabins of an Achensee (Edit: Kaltenbach) gondola in Zillertal collided near one of the line pylons due to strong winds. Fortunately the lift wasn't carrying people, presumably it was being run as part of the pre-season preparation. Here's some photos...

@clarky999, Thanks for that, the original (Italian) article I saw on facebook said it was Achensee. I'll change the title.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

@flangesax, thanks for that. It might take a couple of days to repair any damage and get the gondola back in operation. At least it doesn't affect the link to Hochfügen from the Kaltenbach slopes as that uses the Sonnenjet chairlift.

@Alastair Pink, if I read it right, the link back from there is the one that had a fire in the base station, but there is a rumour it should be back in operation soon (from a thread on alpinforum, which for some reason is blocked at work, so I can't link it).
For the main Kaltenbach side, that was the last lift that needed replacing (already 2 heated 8ers and a heated 6er, plus the non-heated 6er for the link). On a busy day, all can end up with a bit of a queue. Although I'm not convinced that gondolas help with flow. I'd have put another heated 8er personally.
